What could become Royal Enfield’s first serial electric mount, the already well-known Flying Flea C6, seems to be practically ready to go into production. That is the conclusion we have reached after seeing the latest images leaked by an Indian media, where we can see several test mules of the model circulating through the streets of Chennai without any camouflage.
Flying Flea C6: What we know
After being presented to the public for the first time at the last EICMA 2025, the Flying Flea C6 enters its final stretch of development, and everything indicates that it will be over the next few weeks when Royal Enfield makes its commercial launch official. The recent test mules intercepted among Indian traffic are not too far from the initial prototype of the model. Neither on a visual level nor with regard to its conceptual technical basis.
As we can see in the detailed images published by Rush Lane, the FF C6 continues to use a forged aluminum frame, Girder-type front fork and articulated fender as the main element in its structure. The alloy wheels or a clear-looking minimalist bodywork are also maintained. vintagevery much in line with the aesthetics of the model it honors.
Other characteristic details of the future Flying Flea C6 are, for example:
- Circular headlight
- Belt drive mounted on right side
- Center stand
- Double seat at two heights
- Brake discs on both axles
- ByBre brake calipers
On the other hand we have the section of the general specifications of the motorcycle. Although the brand has not yet declared the general performance of its new FF C6, it is expected that it will be comparable to a 250 cc to 350 cc internal combustion motorcycle, with a maximum estimated autonomy of around 150 kilometers.
To do this, it is equipped with an electric motor installed in a central position, associated with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with an approximate capacity of around 5 kWh. The latter would be installed inside a magnesium casing, seeking to reduce the final weight of the assembly as much as possible.
Finally, if we stick to the technological section, Royal Enfield is very likely to end up equipping a 3.5” TFT instrument panel with connectivity functions, the possibility of making and receiving calls and SMS, compatibility with Google Maps, driving modes, etc. It is also likely that the Flying Flea C6 will have up to 5 driving modes: Eco, Rain, Tour, Performance and Custom.
The main idea is to be able to adapt the operation of the motorcycle to the circumstances in which we circulate at all times, managing to increase the range of autonomy. Likewise, it is likely to include three modes with which to recharge the battery (slow, standard and fast charging), dual-channel ABS, cruise control, keyless ignition system, traction control or two levels of regenerative braking.
