Since we saw the Kawasaki H2 Hyse project, propelled by hydrogen, the two -wheel world is pending its evolution. Although the motorcycle is not yet found at the same point as cars in terms of restrictions, alternatives to gasoline always attract attention and generate a lot of expectation.
So much so that even despite being a motorcycle that we could consider experimental, a “simple” prototype captured the attention of all the attendees at 24 hours of Le Mans who were held last weekend. And as it happened last summer in the 8 hours of Suzuka, the Kawasaki H2 Hyse went on track as an exhibition half an hour before the race began.
It was one of the surprises of the organization and Matthias Hupper, development pilot and tests of Kawasaki Motor Europa, was the one who had the privilege and responsibility of rolling with the machine propelled by hydrogen.
The Kawasaki H2 Hyse captured the attention of the public
With the route to burst waiting for the exit of the race and with the track wet by the rain, Hupper completed a return in which he himself recognized that he was so focused on driving the motorcycle that he even saw the spectators. Likewise, although he could not talk much about the subject, he recognized that the sensations transmitted by the motorcycle were positive.
Even so, we must not forget that this unit, which is the result of the collaboration in the project on the viability of hydrogen as fuel in which they are involved in addition to Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Toyota, may never occur as we see it roll.

However, it is the way to test and experience the Hyse platform that Japanese manufacturers are evolving. In any case and although the fully functional motorcycle is a lot of experimentation and manage to solve the multiple challenges that the use of hydrogen raises not only in the Kawasaki H2 Hyse but in all vehicles driven by this gas.
