EICMA 2024 It was the place chosen by the Italian brand to present for the first time the first concept of what, finally, has become the reissue of the mythical acronym Moto Morini 3 ½. Coinciding precisely with the 50th anniversary of the launch of the original model, it is now, just two years later, that it announces the start of marketing of this worthy successor. A motorcycle that above all else maintains the essential characteristic that made the 3 ½ a different motorcycle in the 70s and 80s.
Moto Morini 3 ½: a little history
More than 50 years after the first 3 ½ hit the roads, Moto Morini recovers one of its most remembered models. The new 3 ½ arrives in Spain, returning to a name that is part of the brand’s history and that still awakens the nostalgia of an entire generation of motorcyclists today.

The story began in 1973, when Moto Morini put into production that small twin cylinder designed by engineer Franco Lambertini. With its 344 cc and its particular V-Twin engine, the 3 ½ quickly became one of the most recognizable models of the Italian firm. A year later the 3 ½ Sport would arrive, with an even sportier aesthetic and a personality that would end up making it a true icon of the brand.
Back without losing the magic
It is undeniable that reissuing old glories from the past has become completely fashionable. The two-wheeled sector does not escape this trend and the Moto Morini 3 ½ is a good example of this. However, the brand has kept intact the essence that elevated the model among fans more than 50 years ago.

It is the company itself that defines this return correctly by stating: “The result is immediately recognizable: a 3 ½ that seems to have come out of a photograph from the 70s, but that completely belongs to 2026. The new 3 ½ was presented for the first time at EICMA and, since then, has become one of Moto Morini’s most anticipated launches.”
What’s to come
As confirmed two years ago, the Moto Morini 3 ½ is equipped with a 350cc, DOHC, 8-valve, 60° V-twin engine. The brand declares a power of 32.6 hp at 8,500 rpm, 31 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm and a top speed of 150km/h. The block is installed inside a double cradle steel chassis, while the swingarm, of conventional type, is made of aluminum.

The rest of the cycle part is made up of a 43 mm inverted front fork, an adjustable rear monoshock anchored in a central position and a braking system composed of a double disc: 300 mm and a fixed caliper with 4 opposed pistons at the front and a 255 mm one powered by a fixed caliper with 2 opposed pistons at the rear. The set is assisted by a dual-channel ABS system.
The wheels are 17 inches, fitted with 110/70 and 150/60 tires, but perhaps the most significant specification is the weight, which is less than 165kg. On the other hand, numerous details draw attention to the seventies silhouette of the model: from the 15-liter fuel tank to the vintage-style seat positioned 780 mm from the ground. The headlights are LED and the instrument panel has a TFT screen with integrated navigator.

Its arrival in Spain is scheduled for November 2026, when the first units will begin to arrive on the official network. From the brand they warn: “For those who knew the original, it will be a reunion; for those who didn’t, it will be the opportunity to discover why that name continues to have a special place in the history of Moto Morini. The legend is back”.
