Looking forward to next November 4th, (when EICMA 2025 will kick off), to meet, among others, Norton’s new V4 superbike. This is presented as the new flagship of the British firm and will also be accompanied by at least three other new models.
All of them will become part of its future 2026 range, which will be joined by other options over the following months; Adventure type frames, sporty or naked, the latter offered in several versions, will become essential pieces of this recently launched stage within Norton Motorcycles.
First sketch of Norton’s V4 superbike in detail
The most recent news about this new range of Norton models is related to an official statement published by the brand itself, where it shares with us, through a sketch, the main lines that its long-awaited V4 superbike will show off. A design resulting from the work of Simon Skinnerdesign director at Norton, in collaboration with renowned designer Gerry McGovern.
This scoop is in turn part of a corporate campaign promoted by the brand itself, which they have named “Resurgence”. A resurgence brought about thanks, mainly, to the financial support of who is today the owner of Norton, the Indian business group TVS Motor. In any case, the sketch offers us a new design philosophy and a renewed brand identity.
McGovern himself comments: “Modernity, innovation and luxury are not terms one immediately thinks of when thinking about classic motorcycle brands… Motorcycles and cars are different, but they share fundamental values. The main one is their ability to arouse emotions. Although their design languages differ, both can become objects of desire. They also share essential principles of proportion, presence and drama.”
Continues: “Norton’s rich British heritage, something I am deeply familiar with in the brands I creatively oversee, made the opportunity even more attractive. Additionally, as a creative leader, who you partner with on a business level is critical.”
Concludes: “What I admire about Sudarshan is his visionary mindset. He reminds me of a young Mr. Tata, and working with him was part of his appeal. Together, we developed the Resurgence strategy: a new design direction and brand identity, which will be led by a range of motorcycles that will be launched later this year.”
For his part, Simon Skinner stated: “It is a great privilege to work with Professor Gerry McGovern. He has given me and the team at Norton the opportunity to rethink our brand and our products. What we have designed, and what the company’s engineering team has meticulously developed, is a range of motorcycles that I am sure will surprise and delight the world.”
Concludes: “It’s a new direction, to be sure, but one that respects the past, fusing our rich heritage with a bold future. Today’s sketch is just a preview of what’s to come, and I look forward to revealing more details of our Resurgence strategy in November.”
To get here, TVS Motor has made an investment of more than 200 million pounds to date, a long journey of more than 5 years that culminates with the design of the new and highly anticipated V4 superbike from Norton.
