Coffee and motorcycles; Few things in the world offer a wider range of sensations than both industries. Perhaps that is why Ducati has decided to launch this product on the market in collaboration with the Swiss brand Cuisine Barista. Barista M3 1926 Limited Editiona limited edition coffee maker that becomes “the only capsule coffee machine in the world made from carbon fiber,” as the Italian company states.
Barista M3 1926 Limited Edition in detail
It is not the first time that we have come across an exclusive limited edition coffee maker such as the carbon fiber Barista M3 1926 Limited Edition, the result of the collaboration between Ducati and Cuisine Barista. The idea is to offer lovers of the Borgo Panigale brand (and coffee) the opportunity to get an exclusive object with which the Italian brand celebrates its 100 years of history.
Among its main technical characteristics we can highlight:
- Weight: 12.3kg
- Removable water tank: 1.5 l
- Used capsule container capacity: 25
- PID controller
- Electronic descaling alarm
- Power: 1.5 kW / 220V
- Preparation of coffee recipes at the touch of a button (hot water, no milk in the recipe; milk frother must be used separately)
- Multilingual digital display
- Heating time to reach optimal coffee temperature: 7 seconds
- Integrated frother to prepare milk
- steam lance
- High pressure pump up to 19 bars
However, what stands out most about the Barista M3 1926 Limited Edition is precisely its bodywork made entirely of carbon fiber, a detail that enhances the racing soul of the transalpine firm. They explain from the official Cuisine Barista website that “The front and rear panels are made from genuine twill woven carbon fiber – three precisely placed layers, just 1.5mm thick – extracted from the same composite that protects Ducati on the track.”
Plus, it offers precisely adjustable temperature, 7-second cold start, a traditional steam lance, and the world’s first in-cup frother. Limited to only 1,926 units for the whole worldthe Barista M3 1926 has an official price of 2,599 eurosjust double what the standard variant of the model costs.
We don’t know if it is expensive or cheap; What we can tell you is that the first series of this special edition, of which the first units will be delivered in September of this year, is already sold out. The second edition, which will begin to be distributed among its lucky owners next October, is still available on the official Ducati website.
