Coming soon, the line of premium electric scooters Nebula from China will reach the market of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Let us remember that the ASEAN was created in 1967 by the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, with the aim of accelerating economic growth, social progress and cultural cooperation in the region. Now, EV scooters, Nebulasold under the brand name Aurorathey intend to make a massive introduction into these unique markets, thanks to the fact that they will establish a huge assembly plant in the region.
Traditionally, Chinese electric scooters have been focused on the lower performance segment, usually with 125cc to 150cc specifications, due to Chinese laws limiting the speed of these vehicles to less than 50 km/h in urban areas. But, this is not the case with these high-performance electric scooters.
However, Aurora develops its electric vehicles for export, offering significantly improved performance and superior quality standards. The models M and G of Nebula They stand out, clearly, for their greater maximum speed and autonomy.
At the moment, Nebula offers two models: the Model G and the Model M. Of course, both have different battery and electric motor capacities. Although the prices for the market of the ASEAN have not yet been set, and will vary by country. To give us an idea of “idea”, in China, the Model M It has a factory price of 3.112 euros and the Model G from 4,200 euros.
Nebula Model Portfolio
- Model M It can reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h and offers a range of approximately 200 km, thanks to its two 72-volt, 90 Ah batteries, which feed a 12 kW central motor with belt drive to the rear wheel.
- Model G It is equipped with two 72-volt, 150 Ah batteries with a total capacity of 10.8 kWh and a 20 kW motor. This model reaches a maximum speed of 150 km/h and has a range of approximately 300 km.
As we can see, these are clearly two machines that are as powerful as they are ambitious in their objectives. We will soon see how well this bet turns out for the Chinese. It doesn’t look bad, really.
