CFMoto does not cease in its efforts to create a very wide range of models, among which this could soon be included. 1250MT, an adventure-style frame aimed at all those lovers of high-performance motorcycling. All this after the recent presentation of the new 450MT 2024, a versatile mount full of possibilities with good Offroad capabilities.
Undoubtedly, within the strategic and commercial plans managed by CFMoto, its current collaboration with KTM is of vital importance, from which latest models such as the 800NK or the 800MT have been born. Both equipped with the mechanics that equip the orange brand's 790 frames.
CFMoto 1250MT: what's to come
This “quid pro quo” in commercial and development terms between both brands could culminate with the arrival of this 1250MT, as the Ride Apart colleagues accurately point out. To do this, CFMoto technicians would make use, once again, of the well-known V-Twin that equips the KTM 1290 models.
And we say once again, since currently CFMoto It already uses this mechanics in its 1250TR-G, a grand touring vehicle intended, among others, for the country's police forces. In this case we find that the LC8 in V at 75º of 1,279 cc delivery 140 HP of power at 8,500 rpmdeclaring a maximum speed of 240km/h and a maximum torque of 120 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
The question is whether, in the case of providing the future 1250MT With this same mechanics a similar power level would be maintained or use would be made of all the potential that the Austrian block is capable of delivering. Taking into account that a more road-oriented approach is more than likely, we cannot rule out that this final figure will increase compared to the tourist variant.
The use of 19 and 17 inch alloy wheels, front and rear respectively, in the rendering of the 1250MT, validates this theory in relation to the benefits we can expect from it. We also cannot rule out the possibility of having two different versions of the model (On and Offroad), although this is too early to confirm.
There is speculation with the idea of 2025 as the ideal time for CFMoto will launch this one on the market 1250MTso we could have an initial prototype of the model in the next EICMA 2024.
We will be attentive to any new information that clarifies all these doubts that arise about the future adventure of the Chinese firm.
