This jewel on wheel mixes, AI, 3D printing and a touch of Italian madness

There is no doubt, more than four decades after his birth, the Japanese anime Akira is still a source of inspiration for trainers around the world within the two -wheeled sector. Throughout the last years we have known a multitude of projects around the original design of the motorcycle that, Shotaro Kaneda, pilots in his leading role within the famous neo-fouturist saga.

Dab Motors and VVT offer us their particular vision of Akira

The last to follow this trend are, on the one hand, the French Dab Motors motorcycle manufacturer, with Simon Dabadie at the head of the project. On the other, the design study Vita Veloce Team (VVT) with the Colombian singer J Balvin as a co -founder with the designer Mattias Gollin. The result is this first concept of a future series model that they intend to market on request.

This preparation Akira, as detailed from VVT is “A tribute to the legendary anime akira, this electric motorcycle was conceived with the support of artificial intelligence to accelerate the creative process. Designed, 3D printed and handmade in France by @dabmotors in its design laboratory, the complete construction was completed in just three weeks.”

When determining the final design of this Akira style preparation, its creators turned to AI to specify some details and endings of the project. Then they decided to print in 3D the parts of their body to later send everything to the facilities of Dab Motors, where it would end up assembling and painting in the red color it looks. Pátina details would also be applied to give it a very successful vintage look.

The first concept of the model, manufactured in just three weeks, has been presented recently on the occasion of J Balvin’s 40th birthday, held in Tuscany, Italy. The idea is to recreate a small limited series with which to offer the possibility, to the lovers of Akira, to get a specimen similar to the one they have already shown, although being able to choose some of the final finishes in each unit available.

The last inspiration preparation Akira is plug -in, is designed with the help of AI, 3D printed and only three weeks have been specified for its manufacture
