Triumph refines details of what seems to be destined to become its new and exclusive Speed Twin TFC. We would be facing the last member of its well-known preparation program Triumph Factory Custom. A two-wheeled gem in the broadest sense of the word; Many of its finishes, as well as its equipment, represent the visual and technical highlight of the British brand.
Something that seems difficult according to one of the latest members to reach its well-known Modern Classic range. We are referring to the very elaborate Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer Edition 2026, a sixties-inspired motorcycle, based on the “RS” version of the model, and limited to only 800 units in a collector’s edition, each accompanied by its corresponding certificate of authenticity.
Triumph Speed Twin TFC 2027: what we know
Seeing how high Triumph has the bar, if we take as reference the aforementioned Café Racer Edition and even the “standard” RS version, a variant on which both limited editions are developed, we assume that this long-awaited Speed Twin TFC will come equipped with those finish and style resources to which the brand has accustomed us. At least when we talk about a special Triumph Factory Custom series.
According to Motorcycle colleagues, one of the first to report the news, the Speed Twin TFC 2027 would have been presented to the Australian patent office with the necessary documents and images for its approval. They mainly confirm that in the mechanical part there will be no significant changes, even mounting a Akrapovič exhaust system as part of the additional equipment offered by the model.

Therefore, the well-known 1,200 cc, high-compression Bonneville twin-cylinder engine will continue to offer more than reasonable 105 HP at 7,750 rpm and 112 Nm of maximum torque at 4,250 revolutions. Its configuration stands out for its characteristic 270º timing, along with a low-inertia crankshaft, thus guaranteeing immediate throttle response and strong engine torque throughout the entire rev range.
At the level of the cycle part, more of the same, although in this section the replacement of the inverted Marzocchi fork with another of higher specification signed by Ohlins. It is also the Swedish brand that supplies the pair of rear lateral shock absorbers equipped with independent regulation bottles.

For braking, we continue to rely on the powerful braking system. Brembo Stylemawith radial calipers acting on two 320 mm front discs and a two-piston Nissin caliper with a 220 mm disc for the rear wheel, which mounts the striking Café Racer Edition. As usual in the TFC special series, this Speed Twin “will feature hand-painted elements with custom gold details, various carbon fiber and CNC parts”explains the American media.
Other details that are worth mentioning in a special and limited edition of this magnitude would be:
- Identification and numbered plate on the seatpost
- Overall finish in metallic black with a gold stripe across the fuel tank
- Front and rear fenders, side covers, heel protectors and exhaust outlets in carbon fiber
- Handcrafted leather seat with exclusive upholstery
- gold color chain
- New turn signals

All these improvements, together, translate into a weight saving of 3 kgcompared to the Speed Twin 1200 RS, according to the data recorded in the homologation documents. Finally, while the brand is expected to unveil this 2027 Speed Twin TFC over the next few weeks, it is not clear when the model will be officially launched. Nor its final recommended price which, in the best of cases, will barely exceed 20,000 euros.
