Where to see Superbike Assen 2025, schedules and more info

After Portugal’s appointment we wish more action at the WSBK. The good thing is that the wait is over, and this same weekend Assen will be the stage of the third round of the season. On the layout of the Netherlands it is expected to see a new face to face between Nicolo Bulega and Toprak Razgatlioglu.

The Dutch circuit has nothing to do with Portimao, and keeps some more similarity with Phillip Island, but without a doubt both Italian and the Turk will try to hit the table. For now the victories have been distributed between them, and the reality is that the rest of the grill has not had real options, something that in Assen could change.

And it is that the flat track of the TT Circuit Assen always usually offers great races that are decided at the last moment. As at the last moment it has been confirmed that Jonathan Rea will also be lost this competition weekend, to be replaced by Jason O’Halloran, so in the best Rea cases, he will rise to his Yamaha for the Italian round from two to May 4.

But returning to those who will be in Assen, it will be interesting to see if Bautista, Petrucci, Iannone and Locatelli will be able to approach the two main candidates for victory, the aforementioned Bulega and Razgatlioglu. And they are the ones who have the most options for quality and by mechanics and rhythm demonstrated so far to get it and, who knows, even being able to face.

Details of the TT Circuit Assen

The first sector has nothing to do with the rest of the track

Although he is still known as the “Motorcycling Cathedral”, the truth is that after the infamous reform that took place in the first decade of the century, the TT Circuit Assen is not what it was in what refers.

The first sector, stirred and worthy of a short-tongue evil has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the layout, but is also very critical. And it is that the slower curves arrive in a row, the first four to the right and then move on to a left -wing fork where overtaking can usually be seen.

In this small part of the circuit, 5 of the 18 total curves of the track are concentrated, which, from there, does retain the essence, although also with some modification of one of the best motorcycle tracks that have ever built. Quick and linked curves, some of them with multiple paths that always offer us great moments. And everything to culminate in the gacchin to the goal that has given us so great battles.
