The good thing about the Asian tour is that, without time to recover from the Japanese GP, the Indonesian GP arrives. The bad thing is that you will have to get up early again to be able to see all the action live, although it is true that the time difference with Lombok, which is the place where the Mandalika International Circuit is located, is less and the effort will therefore be less for those of us on this side of the world.
Of course, for those who go to compete in Indonesia things are not going to be easy. Ahead of them is an always unpredictable weekend on a track that is usually dirty as there are not many competitions held throughout the year. So it is a route where crashing is much more common.
On the table for this Indonesian GP is the battle for first place overall. After the Japanese GP Jorge Martín continues to lead but the distance with respect to Marc Márquez is only two points. Both are now the main candidates for the title and, in fact, they have more than a GP advantage over Marco Bezzecchi who continues to be weighed down by the San Marino mistake.

In any case, the interesting thing is that Bezzecchi himself but also Pedro Acosta, Ai Ogura, Álex Márquez, Raúl Fernández or even Enea Bastianini, if he continues at the level he showed in Motegi, can make the gain or loss of points between the two direct rivals more or less important.
Although what you really have to pay attention to in Mandalika will be the weather. It is common for there to be a storm every year and the forecast right now is that there could be storms on both Friday and Saturday, which would affect not only the activity on the track at that time but could influence the set-up for Sunday’s race.
So what we have left is to prepare coffee, grab a blanket if we are in a cool area and prepare to enjoy a GP that could be important for the definition of the championship. We must not forget that until Marc’s fall after Bezzecchi threw him, the Spaniard was not being particularly competitive while the Aprilias were. .
Where to watch MotoGP Indonesia 2026

One more weekend, the options to follow MotoGP live are once again quite limited and necessarily involve paying. The main one continues to be DAZN, which also has narration in Spanish and offers all the sessions, press conferences and its usual pre- and post-programs.
The other alternative is the official MotoGP Videopass, with all programming and content in English. Of course, in Spain only those who have already contracted it can use it, since it currently does not accept new registrations and refers directly to DAZN.
