Yamaha achieves the ISO 20121 certification for the sustainability of the R3 Blu Cru

ISO certificates are documents that prove that an organization complies with the international standards of the International Standardization Organization (ISO) for a specific area.

It is common for large organizations and companies to pass the necessary controls to achieve them, and thus be able to show off their good work when presenting their ISO certificates. But it is less common to see that these certificates are linked to the world of competition, where it is more complex by different factors.

That is why it is striking that Yamaha has achieved, for the second consecutive year, the ISO 20121 certificate by the organization of the FIM R3 BLU CRU World Cup, the promotion cup that is carried out in conjunction with the Superbike World Cup and that is a telephone in one of the races.

This ISO certificate with the 20121 Code certifies good practices in the sustainable management of events, evaluating the social, economic and environmental impact of each initiative and encouraging sustainable and responsible decisions.

It is the second consecutive year that the R3 Blu Cru achieves the ISO certificate

Get it and, in addition, for two years in a row, confirms the line that Yamaha Motor Europe in this case as direct responsible, is carrying out. One of the sustainable measures they have taken has been to compete with 100% sustainable fuel, becoming the first international series (has no world championship range) to achieve it.

Thus, it is not strange that Michael van Zomeren, director of Marketing and Motorsport director, and a member of the Yamaha Motor Europe NV Administration Committee, has been proud of the achievement:

«The Fim R3 Blu Cru World Cup goes beyond simple races. While the series is a proof of Yamaha’s commitment to offer young pilots an affordable platform to make the transition to races on the world stage, it is also important to share with them and others the message that it is possible to run in a more sustainable way.

One of the purposes of the Japanese brand is to train the pilots of the future beyond the track

We have taken great steps in sustainability with the series in 2025, including becoming the first international motorcycle racing series to function with 100% sustainable fuel, supplied by our total -energy partner. ISO 20121 certification shows that we have significantly reduced the environmental impact of the series, while we still provide a fantastic championship in which young pilots can show their talent on the world stage. ”
