We can all agree at this point that the Ducati Panigale V4R is one of the most exclusive motorcycles that the Italian brand has developed to date. Also, in the right hands it can become almost the ultimate weapon on a track. Something diametrically opposed if the one riding it is “one-handed”, who can end up on the ground with all that that entails.
In any case, and taking a look at the specifications that Ducati declares about its Panigale V4R, we cannot be surprised by its efficiency:
- Desmosedici Stradale R V4 998 cc engine
- 218 hp at 15,500 rpm (237 hp, 3 hp in track version)
- 111.3 Nm of torque at 12,000 rpm
- 193.5 kilograms in running order
A Ducati Panigale V4R at a “bargain price”
Thanks to our colleagues at Ride Apart we have learned about this damaged Panigale V4R that is currently advertised on the North American auction website Copart. As we can see, the bike will be put up for sale very soon, and according to the appraisal tables that this company has, it has an approximate market value, by year and mileage, of about $45,000about 41,200 euros.
Of course, we talk about whether this Panigale V4R It’s like it was in perfect condition, not like it is now, with part of one side and the front area completely destroyed. At this point, one wonders what the maximum bid will be once bidding opens. It’s also possible that Copart will offer an instant purchase price, as is the case with this 2023 Ducati Panigale V2 offered for just $1,900.
Let’s assume this were to happen and we could apply a simple rule of three. Regarding the Panigale V2, its market price is estimated to be around $20,000, so it is currently being offered for a tenth of its retail value. If we do the “old math” with the V4R, could Copart offer it for a price of around $4,500?
Well, to be honest, this is already a lot to assume and we obviously do not know the total damages of each one, nor any other additional sales conditions that may influence the final price of each one.
In any case, the price of the Panigale V4R should be in line with its current condition, giving its new owner a wide margin to repair it and save some money.
But of course, whatever the case, you have to be very brave (if you decide to repair it yourself) and have a comfortable bank account to cover the final repair bill for that Panigale V4R. All this without counting on not finding any unforeseen surprises before buying it.
To put things in context, do you know how much the front fork alone that this Italian marvel is equipped with costs? 3.857 eurosSo do your math before trying to get your hands on it… Good luck!
