If we talk about what motorcycle we would consider ideal for a 7-year-old boy like Zayn Sofuoglu to take a spin around a karting circuit, we would think of a minibike or at most a pitbike. From there we would advise against any other type of motorcycle due to weight, maneuverability and power.
But of course, it turns out that as Kenan’s son, Zayn is not a normal seven-year-old boy and the “normal” recommendations do not suit him. Even so, what would not cross our minds is to put him on a Honda Gold Wing and have him spin around the track.
Because it’s one thing to get on a Gold Wing, which with its DCT eliminates a lot of hassle and for a child with Zayn’s talent and experience can manage to drive it in a straight line, and quite another to put it in a karting.
We are not going to talk again about how inconsiderate Kenan is for letting his son get on a motorcycle like that with no more equipment than a simple jet helmet. We all already know what we think. So, let’s simply go crazy with the qualities of the “little man”.
Zayn is 7 years old, weighs 25 kilos and drives a Gold Wing at a crazy level, but is it worth it?
And seeing the way in which he starts the video by burning the rear wheel with the motorcycle already leaves you confused, and even more so seeing that he has to use the passenger platforms to get his feet on because he couldn’t do it any other way. So anyone who can move on a motorcycle is already a sailor.
But your head explodes when you see how he handles the motorcycle, the ease with which it turns, how it even rubs against the side protections of a motorcycle that weighs no more and no less than 393 kg in running order. Only those who have tried to ride a motorcycle of this style know how complicated and how much confidence (or innocence and unconsciousness) it requires to be able to crash in that way.
Because it’s one thing to knock down a Gold Wing, something we’re all trained to do, but doing it without having to then call the tow truck or a group of colleagues to lift it is something else, and that’s what Zayn does.
It is still striking, in any case, to see the way in which Kenan exposes his son and that, despite the experience, despite the hands and despite the DNA, an accident can always happen. And with a motorcycle so heavy and with only 25 kilos to get hold of, the slightest mistake can end in a very ugly way.
Is a handful of likes worth the risk? For the Turkish yes.
