ZXMoto continues to show us why it is an unusual brand within the two-wheeled segment. The recent presentation of the new 250T ADV highlights this statement again. An adventure type scooter model that has little or nothing to do with what we find within this competitive category. Among other things, because the Chinese brand is committed to a technical configuration that goes beyond the standards we already know.
250T ADV: “conventionalisms out”
We don’t really know what goes through Zhang Xue’s mind every time he imagines what his new motorcycle model will be like. Since leaving Kove, after founding it in 2017 and being part of its development for 7 years, the renowned Chinese businessman has focused on his new personal project, ZXMoto, and on giving life to such exciting models as the recent 500RR or this 250T ADV, which is scheduled for official launch in 2027.

What makes it different from the rest of the scooters in the category (Honda ADV 350, Zontes 368G, SYM ADXTG 400, Peugeot XP400 or Aprilia SR GT 400, for example), is its technical architecture more typical of larger displacement models such as the T-Max or the X-ADV. Starting with the position of its propeller, anchored to the chassis centrally and not performing the motor-tilting function that is common in competing models.
This helps, among other things, to improve the distribution of masses, centralizing them in favor of better handling in any circumstance. Another important fact, also related to the mechanical configuration itself, is that, depending on the market where it is offered, it could have one or two cylinders as part of it.

The first data regarding its final benefits speak of 27 HP of power and about 23 Nm of maximum torque. Some sources even assure that these figures could rise up to 32 horsepower and 27 Nm. We assume that both measurements could be associated precisely with the aforementioned “mono” or twin-cylinder arrangement. In any case, regardless of performance, the 250T ADV will use a variator and timing belt system to get the power to the rear wheel.
A cycle part in line
If in mechanical terms the 250T ADV goes off on a tangent from what has already been seen in the category where it would end up competing, the cycle part, especially its chassis, does the same in dynamic matters. As confirmed by some international media that attended the presentation of the model, both the frame and the swingarm itself are made of aluminum, like the Zontes 125X that we tested not too long ago.

For the suspension, the brand uses an inverted front fork, while at the rear we find a lateral monoshock anchored almost horizontally. Completing this section are its 15” and 14” alloy wheels, front and rear respectively, shod for the occasion with CST mixed tires. Anchored to them is a braking system made up of two discs, one per axle and combined with a disconnectable dual-channel ABS on the rear wheel.
Technology everywhere
Regarding the electronic combination that this 250T ADV will include once it reaches the market, equipment elements and systems stand out such as traction control (TCS), TFT instrument panel with connectivity, keyless start, cruise control, Full-LED lighting and a camera integrated into the front of the model.

The list of gadgets is completed with ride by wire with driving modes, adjustable front windshield, remote fuel cap and seat openings, double USB port, adjustable levers on both brakes, double footrest, auxiliary headlights, etc. As for the general design, a tall exhaust with a marked ADV style or the “duck bill” that presides over its front stand out at first glance.
Release date and price
Chinese media claim that the 250T ADV will arrive at the brand’s official dealerships throughout the next year 2027. They also venture to predict its approximate price: between 20,000 and 25,000 yuan, about 2,650/3,300 euros. Regardless of these estimates, it is still early to see these data in a European perspective.
We will be attentive to any information in this regard that ZXMoto can offer in the future.
