Ducati and its “special seal” within the world of motorcycles

Founded in 1926 in Borgo Panigale (Bologna), Ducati has forged a unique identity over the course of a century, going from its beginnings in the radio technology sector to becoming a global benchmark in the world of motorcycles and motor sports.

The values of style, sophistication and performance have always guided the company’s decisions and are reflected in motorcycles that combine advanced technology, distinctive design and an unmistakably Italian sporty character.

All these elements come together in the commemorative stamp dedicated to the centenary, which features an emblematic Ducati silhouette – the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore – cast in the colors of the Italian flag: a tribute to the company’s identity and its deep link with the country’s creativity, technological innovation and tradition.

It is not the first time that Ducati has been honored in the world of philately. In 2022, a stamp from the “Sport” themed series was dedicated to victory in the MotoGP World Championship, featuring Francesco Bagnaia’s Desmosedici GP22 reinterpreted in the colors of the Italian flag.

For the occasion, a special A4 format philatelic folder has also been published, which contains a block of four stamps, an individual stamp, a stamped and postmarked postcard, a philatelic card, a first day cover and an illustrated bulletin.

The folder is available in post offices with philatelic counters, in Philately Spaces and on the official website of Filatelia Italia. The Ducati stamp will also be included in the “Book of Stamps 2026”, the annual publication that compiles all the issues of the year, combining collecting, institutional memory and the history of the country.
