Other Zero Motorcycles news: Technology and connectivity

Zero is developing a new application based on the opinions and suggestions of its customers. It is planned for the LS3, the 2027 road and dual sport models and the Project Ventura. Among the planned functions are:

  • Custom driving modes: in addition to the predefined modes, with different power and regeneration settings, the application will allow you to configure your own mode, assign it a name and adjust the speed, power, torque and regeneration.
  • Search for charging points: will allow you to locate nearby stations and filter them by charging speed, network and availability. Integration with Apple Maps will make it easier to consult the map and access driving directions.
  • Ride History: Optional auto-logging will save recent rides, including distance, duration and a route preview.
  • Configurable instrument panel: it will allow you to choose and preview what information appears in each quadrant of the motorcycle screen, such as speed, battery level or clock.
  • Charge settings: will bring together in the same section the target charge level, the recharge schedule, the charge limit and the settings for prolonged periods without using the motorcycle.
  • Suggestions and assistance: users will be able to propose improvements or report incidents from the application, attaching photographs and diagnostic records. Your motorcycle data will be incorporated automatically.

Additionally, the brand is developing direct current (DC) fast charging for its Street and Dual Sport models, with the goal of making it available in 2027. The system will use the CCS standard in Europe and NACS in North America, with the goal of recharging compatible batteries from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.

The company is also working on a solution to incorporate this technology into motorcycles already in circulation that meet the technical requirements.
