The Yamaha Tenere 700 It has become one of the most popular trail bikes in recent years thanks to a simple but tremendously effective formula: a reliable engine, a balanced chassis and an adventurous orientation reminiscent of the great raid bikes of yesteryear.
Precisely that connection with the past is what the Holy Moly trainer wanted to enhance once again. After attracting attention a little over a year ago with its first transformation kits for the T7, models that we showed you, the firm now returns with an even more retro and evocative proposal.
As we are telling you, his new project called Retro 2.0abandons the aesthetic references of the 80s and 90s to travel even further back in time, specifically to the 70s, when off-road motorcycles sported simple lines, striking tanks and decorations full of personality.
This is the new Holy Moly kit for the Yamaha Tenere 700
At first glance, the transformation is surprising. The front changes completely thanks to a new assembly that radically modifies the image of the motorcycle, giving it a much more classic appearance without giving up current components. Holy Moly offers the kit in six different color combinations: white and red, black and red, white and blue, black and blue, white and green, as well as a black and green version.
The result is reminiscent of those machines that starred in the first great African raids, although under the bodywork there is still a modern Ténéré 700 with all its technology and features. One of the most interesting aspects of this preparation is that it is not limited to changing a few decorative plastics. In addition, the set includes a significant number of components designed to offer a comprehensive transformation.
Among them we find an approved LED headlight, LED turn signals with their corresponding supports and adapters, a new front fender, specific support for the original instrumentation, a radiator protector made of aluminum and a complete set of already decorated body parts.
Besides, Holy Moly It also supplies the license plate support system along with the necessary elements to keep the entire electrical installation fully functional through connectors prepared to be integrated with the original wiring of the motorcycle.
As we are telling you, the Retro 2.0 kit has been developed for the Yamaha Tenere 700 standard manufactured between 2019 and 2024. However, there are some important limitations that should be taken into account. Transformation is not supported for variants World Raid or World Rallynor with the updated 2025 models, so owners of these versions will have to wait for future specific adaptations.
Holy Moly It manufactures each unit to order, so the production time can reach approximately 4 weeks before shipping. And, the price starts from 1,550 euros. Taking into account the number of components included and the profound aesthetic change it achieves, it is a relatively accessible proposal within the world of specialized transformations.
