Only a few hours have passed since Marc Márquez’s renewal with the official Ducati MotoGP team was announced, and we already know who will accompany him on his new sporting adventure on the other side of the box: Pedro Acosta. This has been confirmed by Ducati Corse when announcing that they have reached an agreement with the Murcian driver for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

At the end of the current campaign, the Spanish rider will join the Ducati Lenovo Team, where he will ride the official Desmosedici GP of the Borgo Panigale team, further consolidating Ducati’s sporting project and confirming the company’s commitment to investing in the best young talents on the MotoGP scene.
A decision that rewards the qualities of the Spaniard, considered one of the most talented riders of his generation, thanks to the world titles achieved in Moto3 and Moto2 in just three years since his debut in the World Championship. Furthermore, his debut in the premier category, with the title of Rookie of the Year in 2024, fourth place in the general classification in 2025 and a total of 13 podiums, has not gone unnoticed among the directors of the Italian firm.
After confirming the signing Claudio DomenicaliCEO Ducati Motor Holding, said: “Pedro is undoubtedly one of the most talented young people in the MotoGP paddock. He is only 22 years old and, therefore, represents a rider on whom to build another beautiful story. We have always liked him and have followed him for a long time.”
He concluded: “Both for what he has done on the track and for his direct and carefree personality, which we are sure will make Ducati fans fall in love with him when we dress him in red. We believe that, partnering with Marc, he represents the ideal complement for a team that, supported by its history and the results achieved in recent years, wants to continue playing an absolutely leading role also in the future and be a source of admiration, respect and support for Ducati fans around the world.”
