We already knew which circuits were going to be part of the 2027 MotoGP Calendar, but now we also know in what order they will go, and how having a 22-weekend calendar that will start at the beginning of March and end practically in December will be managed. Almost 10 months of competition around the world, and a championship closing with a combination that we had not seen lately.
As we already knew and as has happened this year, the season will start in Buriram with the Thai GP and, just a week later and if international conflicts allow, travel to Qatar. It is curious that the Qatar GP is located so early in the 2027 MotoGP calendar, when today it is not known for sure whether this season’s race will have to be suspended or not.
In any case, after Qatar we will have 21 days between GP and GP since Brazil arrives on April 4, but it also does so preceding the return from Argentina, with the Buenos Aires GP only a week later. That is, the format of the start of the championship will be two consecutive GPs, three weeks of pause and another two GPs. All with a view to optimizing routes.
Then we can say that the 2027 MotoGP calendar enters the usual dynamic, with the United States two weeks after Argentina and two before the Spanish GP in Jerez, which will be the sixth round of the season. That is to say, when the championship sets foot in Europe we will already be a quarter of the way through.
There is little new in the European tour, which again has more or less the usual organization and a vacation in between of almost a month between July and August, although it is extended until the beginning of September to delay the Asian tour by two weeks compared to this year. And the Portuguese GP comes to close the European journey.
From there the calendar tightens with the Japan-Malaysia-Indonesia triplet, and two weeks of rest arrive to arrive in Adelaide to compete in the first Australian GP in the city. Then, at the end of November, Cheste will once again host the last Grand Prix of a season that, as of today, is totally unpredictable due to regulatory changes.
