The WorldWCR will take a step forward towards 2027 and will do so with the arrival of a new motorcycle, the CFMOTO 675 SR-R. Until now all the drivers in the category competed on the Yamaha R7, but starting next season the three-cylinder from the Chinese brand will be the motorcycle that all of them will use on the grid.
Obviously the WorldWCR will continue to be a single brand and despite being a World Championship it is also still a quarry in search of giving opportunities to drivers who in other cases would not have them.
The change will be important because in addition to having the CFMOTO 675 SR-R there will be a change of tires with the arrival of Michelin, which on the one hand will mean an extra task but on the other hand will simplify the adaptation process because everything will be new.

As for the motorcycle, the jump in performance will be noticeable and it is estimated that the 675 cubic centimeter three-cylinder will offer 15 HP more power and, in addition, the behavior of the engine compared to the current two-cylinder will also be different.
The arrival of CFMOTO to the WorldWCR is a milestone within the championship, which changes motorcycles for the first time in its history
Another important nuance of this change is that for the first time a brand of Chinese origin will be in charge of supplying the motorcycles for a championship under the tutelage of the FIM. Until now Honda, KTM or Yamaha itself had been the protagonists, but now it will be CFMOTO that takes its first step on this path.
Even so, it is expected that this will only be the brand’s first approach through the WorldWCR to WSBK, where it is speculated that the V4 SR-RR could arrive sooner or later. All this also coincides with the landing of the WSBK in China, which was made official only a few days ago.
Thus, in this way both the WorldWCR and the championship itself continue their expansion towards the Asian continent and, especially, towards China, which is now one of the great powers of the motorcycle industry.

Through the official statement released by the WorldWCR Samantha Liu, general director of the CFMOTO Motorsports Management Center, showed her satisfaction with the new project ahead:
“Becoming the official motorcycle supplier for the 2027-2029 WorldWCR seasons marks an important new chapter in CFMOTO’s global motorsport history. It also reflects our long-term commitment to the development of motorcycle racing. We look forward to working closely with WorldWCR and all our partners to continue to advance women’s motorcycle racing and bring greater global attention to the speed, passion and potential of female riders.”
On behalf of WorldSBK, it was Gregorio Lavilla, executive director, who reviewed the virtues of a change that will imply a leap in performance in the category:
“Since WorldWCR began, our ambition has been to create more opportunities and build a strong competition. Continuing to raise the bar for female riders is a key part of this. The CFMOTO 675SR-R offers our female riders a more powerful bike to master and a new challenge to help them develop, whilst maintaining the same technical conditions that allow their ability to make a difference. We are delighted to welcome CFMOTO for the next three seasons and look forward to working together to develop WorldWCR on track and expand its international reach.
