The off-road project of the British firm continues to take steps forward with its recently presented Triumph off-road range 2027. Since its arrival in motocross and enduro competitions, the brand has turned the most demanding circuits and tests on the international calendar into a development stage for its production motorcycles, transferring the experience of its riders and engineering teams directly to the series models.
This philosophy is materialized again in the 2027 range, which introduces the new TF 250-E and TF 450-E enduro and the TF 450-X motocrossrecalibrated engines, updated clutch assemblies and KYB suspensions with a specific tune for each model and new tool-free fork adjusters.
Added to this are top-level competition components, advanced technology as standard, independent start and stop controls, new fork protectors and a renewed image, with completely black bodies and striking Racing Yellow graphics. A set of improvements aimed at optimizing mechanical response, shifting precision and rider control.
Engine and transmission of the Triumph off-road range 2027
One of the main novelties of the three models is the revision of the electronic calibration of their single-cylinder four-stroke engines. The objective is to improve torque delivery, throttle response and connection with the rear wheel, facilitating greater control both in the technical areas of enduro and in the demanding accelerations of motocross.
The improvements also reach the clutch and gear selection mechanisms, with updated components to promote durability, feel and precision in changes. In the case of the TF 450-E and TF 450-X, the modifications extend to the cylinder head, with new valve guides and revised rocker shafts with DLC coating, aimed at improving wear resistance and reliability at high revs.

These three TF 2027s once again rely on KYB suspensions with a specific setup for each model, both in the fork and the rear shock absorber. The 48 mm KYB AOS fork now has new regulators that allow its settings to be modified without the need for tools, making it easier to adapt the motorcycle to the terrain conditions and the preferences of each rider.
The whole is supported by the central spine and double cradle aluminum chassis developed by Triumph, accompanied by top-level components such as Brembo brakes with 260 mm Galfer discs at the front and 220 mm at the rear, DID DirtStar rims and the ProTaper ACF handlebar with a carbon core. The enduros use Michelin tires and an 18-inch rear wheel, while the TF 450-X is equipped with Pirelli MX32 and a 19-inch rear wheel.

The electronic equipment continues to be one of the outstanding elements of these motorcycles, with traction control, Launch Control, Quickshifter and two engine maps as standard, managed by the Athena control unit with GET Power Assist technology. The optional Wi-Fi module allows for expanded configuration possibilities, while the pilot controls are also upgraded with separate start and stop switches.
Triumph TF 250-E and TF 450-E in detail
The two members of the enduro range receive specific improvements for their respective displacements. The TF 250-E, with a 249.9 cc DOHC engine, 42.3 HP and 27.8 Nm of torqueincorporates new Neken forged 7075-T6 aluminum seatposts to optimize the precision of the front axle, in addition to an updated clutch and bearing assembly, new valve guides, a steel selector star and a revised shift lever.
For its part, the TF 450-E, with a 449.5 cc SOHC engine, 59.2 HP and 48 Nmdebuts a new clutch, bearing and sleeve assembly, in addition to a revision of the gear selection mechanism, with modifications to the star, positioning arm, selector shaft and a redesigned shift lever to improve precision.

Added to this are improvements to the cylinder head, with new valve guides and rocker shafts with DLC coating, aimed at increasing durability and reliability at high revolutions. Both models maintain their enduro-specific six-speed gearboxes, designed to combine control in technical areas with good performance on fast sections.
They also share a 48 mm KYB AOS fork with 300 mm of travel and a rear shock absorber with 313 mm of travel, although with a specific setup for each displacement. Its ergonomics, with a seat height of 955 mm, 8.3 liter tank and full-LED lighting, is designed to facilitate control and freedom of movement during long days of riding.

Triumph TF 450-X in detail
In the field of motocross, the new TF 450-X 2027 incorporates its own mechanical evolution to meet the demands of high-level motocross. Its 449.5 cc SOHC engine, with 62.4 HP at 9,500 rpm and 49.9 Nm of torquereceives a revised calibration, improvements to the cylinder head and a profound update to the five-speed transmission, with new components in the selector, drum, star, positioning arm, shaft and shift lever.
In addition, it has new engine mountings to the chassis and incorporates a new maximum rev limiter strategy. Also notable is the incorporation of a new 50-tooth crown, designed to improve acceleration and corner exit, as well as a new chain guide, made with a revised material and geometries to improve resistance to possible side impacts.

The engine maintains competition components such as the forged König piston, Del West titanium valves and lightweight magnesium covers. The optional Wi-Fi module, combined with the free MX Tune Pro app, allows access to a total of ten engine maps. The KYB suspensions also receive new specific adjustments, with travel of 310 mm at the front and 305 mm at the rear.
Like its enduro sisters, the TF 450-X features fork adjusters that allow you to modify its settings without tools, as well as new protectors. The set is completed with Neken 7075-T6 aluminum seatposts and ergonomics designed to facilitate the rider’s movements, with a seat height of 960 mm. The result is an evolution focused on improving the response of the assembly and the sensations of the pilot.
