Designed and manufactured by Harley-Davidson in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp, the Sprint 440 is presented to the public as a mid-size motorcycle without giving up the characteristic look, sound and feel of any other model from the Yankee company. Mechanically, it has a 440 cc single-cylinder engine with internal diameter and stroke dimensions of 79.6 mm x 88.4 mm.
This is air and oil cooled and has a single overhead camshaft and two valves (one exhaust and one intake). The power supply is entrusted to an electronic fuel injection (EFI) system, homologating a fuel consumption of 2.9 l/100 km in combined cycle. The brand declares 27 HP at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of maximum torque at 4,000 revolutions.
The six-speed transmission features overdrive in fifth and sixth gears to optimize fuel consumption and reduce engine revs, allowing for relaxed driving at highway speeds. The clutch incorporates a slip-assist system to reduce the pressure required on the lever and facilitate adaptation to available traction during deceleration or hard downshifts.
As for the cycle part “at the fork, the suspension height and the size of the wheels and tires combine to offer a purely Harley-Davidson cruiser stance”said Bjorn Shuster, chief designer at Harley-Davidson. The braking system consists of a 320 mm diameter front disc and a two-piston caliper, while the rear has a 240 mm diameter disc and a single-piston caliper. Anti-lock braking system (ABS) comes standard.
The rear suspension uses piggyback coilover shock absorbers with mechanical preload adjustment in seven positions and 76 mm of travel. At the front we have a 43 mm inverted fork with a travel of 130 mm. The weight of the set, 187kgrests on a pair of 10-spoke aluminum wheels. These come shod with 100/90-19 tires at the front and 150/60ZR17 at the rear.
Other relevant data in this section would be, for example, having a fuel tank with a 9 liter capacitywhile the height of the pilot’s seat is 671mm. This figure enables efficient handling for most users, regardless of their size.

A 5-volt USB-C charging port, located above the headlamp, allows you to charge personal devices.
