SYM revolutionizes its range of scooters at EICMA 2026: turbo, technology and new generations

Under the motto “Turbo the Force”, SYM has arrived at the Milan Motor Show with a declaration of intent: to continue raising the technological and performance level of its scooters. The Taiwanese firm has brought together four new products that represent different ways of understanding mobility on two wheels, but that share the same philosophy: to offer more complete, efficient and advanced products, both for those seeking strong emotions and for those who need a practical vehicle for everyday use.

The big star of the stand has been the MAXSYM TURBO, a maxiscooter prototype that introduces an unusual solution in this segment: a 465 cc turbocharged twin-cylinder engine capable of developing 52.3 HP and 58.9 Nm of torque. Figures that allow it to announce an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5.7 seconds and that anticipate a new interpretation of large-displacement sports scooters.

But SYM has not focused all its efforts on performance. The brand has also presented a profound evolution of the ADXTG 400, its adventurous proposal, in addition to two new models intended for urban mobility: the HD 125/200 and JET X 125/200. The latter debut a new generation of liquid-cooled engines, improvements in safety and a significant leap in connectivity.

MAXSYM TURBO: a maxiscooter with a sporty soul

The MAXSYM TURBO is, without a doubt, the model that has aroused the most expectations in Milan. Although it is still presented as a prototype, its technical approach demonstrates how far SYM wants to go in the maxiscooter segment.

Its 465 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine incorporates liquid cooling, eight-valve DOHC distribution, compact turbocharger and high-efficiency intercooler. The set develops 39 kW (52.3 HP) at 6,500 rpm and 58.9 Nm at 5,500 rpm. According to the brand, supercharging allows the maximum torque to be increased by more than 40%, also improving its availability at medium speeds.

The chassis also points out ways, with inverted fork, lateral rear monoshock with multi-link system and double 288 mm front disc. At a technological level we find electronic throttle, ABS Cornering, tilt-sensitive traction control, cruise control and seven-inch TFT screen with SYM+ connectivity.

A proposal that seeks to bring the sensations of a sports motorcycle closer to the practical format of a large displacement scooter.

ADXTG 400: more prepared for traveling and going off-road

The second great novelty from SYM is the evolution of the ADXTG 400, a model that reinforces its crossover personality with improvements in equipment, protection and connectivity.

Its aesthetic debuts a combination of metallic silver and red colors, accompanied by new graphics inspired by the topographic lines of the mountains. However, the most significant change comes with the new spoked wheels prepared for tubeless tires, which provide a more adventurous image and reinforce its orientation towards multipurpose use.

It also features a new five-inch TFT screen with three graphic settings, automatic adjustment between day and night modes and integration with the SYM+ application for navigation and connectivity functions.

The standard equipment wins in whole with front and rear recording cameras, USB type C socket, parking brake and heated grips. For long-distance trips, add a luggage rack prepared for side cases and an aluminum top trunk included as standard.

Its mechanics continue to rely on the 399 cc single-cylinder, with 34.5 HP at 7,000 rpm and 37.2 Nm at 5,500 rpm, associated with a CVT automatic transmission. The chassis part maintains the inverted fork and the multi-link rear suspension system.

HD 125/200: elegance and technology for the city

SYM has also renewed its high-wheel proposal with the new HD 125/200, a scooter that seeks to combine elegance, comfort and technology for everyday trips.

The range will be available in two mechanical configurations. The HD 125 develops 12.7 HP and 12 Nm, while the HD 200 uses a 175 cc engine that delivers 16.5 HP and 16 Nm. Both use single-cylinder four-valve engines, liquid cooling, electronic injection and CVT automatic transmission.

One of the keys to this new generation is the work carried out to reduce mechanical losses. SYM features lower stress piston rings, low resistance bearings and molybdenum disulfide coated pistons. It also optimizes transmission cooling to improve its operation.

In terms of safety, the HD relies on disc brakes on both axles, dual-channel ABS and TCS traction control. Its technological equipment includes a five-inch TFT screen, SYM+ connectivity, navigation through Google Maps, call and message notifications, front recording camera and keyless start system.

It also does not neglect comfort: it incorporates a raised windshield, hand protectors, a visor to reduce reflections and heated grips with two temperature levels. Under the seat it offers a 33-liter compartment, while its 8.2-liter tank has a front filler neck.

JET X 125/200: a new image for the urban sports scooter

The fourth novelty is the new generation of the JET X, which receives a profound aesthetic and technological transformation to reinforce its position among compact sports-oriented scooters.

Its new three-dimensional front incorporates an X-shaped light signature, with an integrated recording camera. The bodywork relies on more angular lines and a stylized rear that reinforces its dynamic personality.

Share the new mechanics of the HD family. The JET X 125 delivers 12.7 HP and 12 Nm, while the JET

One of its most notable elements is the seven-inch color TFT instrumentation, which allows you to display driving information, ambient temperature and connectivity functions through SYM+. It also incorporates navigation through Google Maps, call and message notifications, front camera, smart key and USB 3.0 and USB type C connections.

In the practical section, it has a 33-liter space under the seat and a 12-liter tank with front refueling access. Its chassis uses telescopic fork, double rear shock absorber, 14-inch wheels and 260 and 220 mm disc brakes. The 125 version adds dual-channel ABS and TCS traction control.
