A new virtual design shows us what the future Triumph Tiger 400 could look like

One of the most anticipated mounts by Triumph fans, especially in some specific locations, is the Tiger 400. A model that has been announced for quite some time, and that sooner rather than later is likely to end up materializing within the British firm’s product range. Even more so when specialized Indian media such as RushLane offer us detailed rendered designs of what we would expect from a motorcycle of this type as a result of the association between Bajaj and Triumph.

Let us remember that, today, Triumph already has two models developed on the new “400 platform” that the brand launched last 2023. We are talking, of course, about the successful Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 the Speed Twin and Scrambler 900 and 1200. The two smallest members of the range Modern Classic from the British brand that combine quality, design and fantastic performance.

Triumph Tiger 400 2025: The ADV option that everyone is waiting for

Taking into account the success of Triumph’s new 400 range, but especially the demand for adventure-style motorcycles today, it is logical that everyone is speculating about a Tiger 400 as one of the next models that Triumph could present soon. term. In fact, last August we already told you that two new Triumph 400s will be presented before the end of the year.

Street 400, Daytona 400 or Speedmaster 400 are some of the options that are being considered, but it will be on November 1, 2024 when we will definitively clear up doubts due to the celebration of Diwali 2024. In any case, looking back, now In the summer of 2023, there was speculation that Triumph was working on launching a Tiger 400.

Subsequently, everything indicated that the new ADV mount from the Hinckley firm could be ready before the end of this same 2024, with a final price around 6,000 euros. Now the virtual artist Pratyush Rout has recreated a new design of the model based on its older sisters, but using some distinctive features of the Tiger Sport 660. Unlike the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400

The philosophy of a possible Tiger 400 must be taken into account, so some of its elements would have to be adapted to it. In addition, it should include hand protectors or a front windshield capable of offering good protection against the wind during tourist driving. Inverted front fork, rear adjustable monoshock or a brake disc per axle would complete the cycle part of the set.

RushLane is betting on an exhaust system equal to the one fitted on the Scrambler 400 X, as well as mixed tires similar to those used by the latter. The Tiger 400 could even be offered in several versions, differentiated by the type of tire it mounted. Either alloy, like the one shown in Rout’s rendering, or radial type measuring 19 or 21 inches on the front axle.

Mechanically there would be no technical variations in the single-cylinder engine of 398cc that we already know. This includes fuel injection and liquid cooling, double overhead camshaft (DOHC) and four valves, associated with a six-speed gearbox equipped with an anti-rebound system, which sends power to the rear axle.

As a result we find a final power of 40 HP at 8,000 rpm, and a maximum torque of 37.5 Nm, at 6,500 revolutions. Perhaps these figures could vary significantly, taking into account the mixed use that could end up being given to a motorcycle like the Tiger 400.
