We all expected that at the Thailand 2025 Grand Prix, the one that started what will be the longest season in the history of the championship, began to show if what we had seen in the preseason tests, was going to follow the same way once the points began to be distributed. And it can be said that it has been.
Ducati has dominated with iron hand, but the rest of the brands seem to be somewhat closer. We have also been able to confirm that of all Ducati pilots, right now Marc Márquez is the fastest and the one in tune meets the motorcycle: pole, two victories and two fast laps.
Thailand 2025 Grand Prize: Notice to Navigators at the Sprint
After what had happened in Q2 and in previous training, it was clear that Marc Márquez was the main candidate for victory. And except surprise, only his brother Álex and Francesco Bagnaia were going to have some option to fight. But those options were quite diluted from the exit, when Marc began to impose a rhythm that only Álex could follow, although without having options to advance his brother at any time.
Meanwhile, Bagnaia was losing meters first and seconds later, until he ended up getting off the two Spaniards and also controlling an ogura, which is another of the weekend’s own names thanks to a spectacular debut in the queen category.
Fraco Morbidelli, who seems more in tune with his GP24 than last season, ended fifth, although almost more interesting was the fact that Acosta, Quartarara, Binder, Mir and Zarco completed a top10 in which all the marks of the grill were represented.
Grand Prix of Thailand 2025: more emotion than expected, but the same result
After what happened on Saturday, thinking about another result that was not a resounding victory by Marc Márquez seemed unlikely. And if there was any doubt, he vanished with an impeccable exit from Marc and a rhythm that this time no one could follow. But the races are only won until they pass under the checkered flag, and on the lap seven Marc simply cut gas and let Álex pass.
We talked about the advantage at that time was superior to the second when the return began, and Marc lost 1.5 seconds of a stroke. The red lights, never better, went on in Ducati’s box, but they didn’t take long to go out when he saw how rolling after Álex, Marc regained his rhythm and seemed even much higher in some sections.
Rare maneuver Marc Márquez 🤔
He seemed to have problems, turned and escaped 1.5 seconds of advantage over his brother Álex, who put himself first

At the end of the race, Marc talked about rear tire management, something that suffered a lot of Álex Márquez in the final stretch, when Marc again advanced it in the absence of four laps to get the victory. An exultant Alex finished second and a much less satisfied Bagnaia made him third.
There is no doubt that, except surprise, Marc Márquez has once again been one of the candidates for the title now that he has an official motorcycle. Nor is there doubt that two third positions, without errors, are very good points for Bagnaia and the goal of winning the championship.
Neither should forget that there are still 21 weekends ahead and, therefore, 42 races. Those are many points at the end of the season, as well as winning races, it will not be mistakes and add points when you cannot win. Now we have the uncertainty of knowing if Álex Márquez can keep the rhythm with the motorcycle last year and enter the equation.
Marc Márquez’s ax! This uncle is left over!
Endured behind his brother until he found the right time to advance 🔥

It will also be interesting to know what happens to the rest of the protagonists of the championship. After all, everything has just begun and there is a lot to roll, so the fourth place in Morbidelli or the fifth place of Ai Ogura are also important.
Bezzecchi ended up in sixth position, but with almost 15 seconds of disadvantage over Márquez. Zarco took La Honda to the seventh square, who was fighting with Joan Mir until he went to the ground. A sample that the Honda seem to have found the way to fight, at least, against April, Yamaha and KTM.
In fact, the KTM of Binder and Bastianini and the Ducati of Di Giannantonio completed the top10 behind the RC213V. Those who did not end this time among the 10 best were Yamaha’s pilots, although the M1 has also been more competitive throughout the weekend.
