The 2025 is, so far, Álex Márquez’s best season since he arrived at MotoGP. It already adds two victories, six seconds and one third place on Sundays, and 11 podiums on Saturdays in the Sprint. It has been, after Marc, not only who has won the most races, but who has led the most. And all this Álex Márquez has done it with a GP24, which although it may seem more competitive than 25 in some aspects, is not being so competitive in the hands of the rest of the pilots.
It is for that reason that Ducati has decided that next season, Álex Márquez has at his disposal the same weapons as the factory pilots, that is, a Ducati desmosedici GP26. As we say, he is only behind his brother in the general, overwhelming Bagnaia with the GP25 and also Fabio Di Giannantonio, which he practically doubles at points. But it is also in that situation with Franco Morbidelli and Fermín Aldeguer, which leads to the same conclusion, is the really competitive GP24 or is Álex Márquez who makes it go fast?
The results “forced” Ducati to give Álex Márquez a GP26
There is no doubt that the results, despite some errors and an inappropriate injury that have subtracted points, is that merits has plenty so that next season we have the weapons to be able to take a step forward. They see this in Ducati, where they consider that I could win in competitiveness with the GP26:

How could it be otherwise, Alex is excited about this new opportunity that will give access to a motorcycle that will be more competitive on paper, with all that this entails:

This election of Alex for now seems that he does not affect his teammate, who will continue to have the motorcycles of the previous season (GP25) or, either, the VR46 pilots. Di Giannantonio, therefore, will continue to have official motorcycle such as those of the brothers Márquez and Bagnaia, while Morbidelli will have the GP25.
