Exactly one year ago, on the occasion of EICMA 2024, Royal Enfield opened a new chapter in its history with Flying Flea, its newly launched brand of electric vehicles. Now the Indo-British firm returns with the new FF.S6 scrambler stylerecently presented at the last Milan Show. A model that represents the brand’s commitment to developing a range of models aligned with new types of citizen mobility.
FF.S6 2026: What we know
As we have seen in the first official images of the model, the new FF.S6, as already happened with its first and only range sister (for now), the FF.C6, combines a light structure and a perfected design, which in this case also has marked off-road capabilities. In addition, it maintains the same philosophy of the original Royal Enfield motorcycles.
At the chassis level, focused precisely on mixed use, it uses an inverted front fork, chain final drive and 19” and 18” wheels, front and rear respectively. Likewise, its electric motor further improves the driving and manageability experience thanks to its high torque which, together with a low final weight, guarantees a level of performance at the level of what is expected within its natural habitat.
Other notable details in the design and configuration of the FF.S6 would be, for example:
- Finned magnesium battery case, providing optimal weight savings and cooling
- Round touchscreen that pays homage to the original Flying Flea, while integrating modern digital innovation
- Integrated navigation
- Off-road driving mode
- ABS with tilt angle detection deactivatable when turning off the dual-channel system
- Traction control, etc.
On the other hand, in purely technological terms, we find that the FF.S6 has an internal operating system and a user interface built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor. Designed specifically for two-wheelers, this high-performance chipset enables 4G, Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity, allowing real-time vehicle management through the interactive round TFT cluster.
Comfort and safety is another of the sections where the brand has worked thoroughly in the development of this FF.S6. Here we can confirm that the model comes equipped with a voice assistance button. Accessible through the rider’s phone while driving, this feature allows simple voice commands to start navigation, play music, etc.
On the other hand, we have Flying Flea’s control systems improved thanks to the adoption of cutting-edge NXP microcontrollers, which guarantee high-speed data processing, secure communication and intelligent energy management. This integration optimizes performance and efficiency, dynamically adapting to the pilot’s needs.
On the latter we are also supported by an internally developed vehicle control unit (VCU), which seamlessly integrates thousands of driving mode combinations and dynamically adapts performance for safe, intelligent and connected driving. Finally, it is worth mentioning how the FF.S6 allows multimodal connectivity, allowing riders to interact with the motorcycle through a smart watch and a connected application.
This provides complete remote management of key features including keyless driving, driving modes, charging status and vehicle diagnostics. That is why the platform comes preloaded with a suite of applications and supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, ensuring that the model perpetually remains at the forefront in technological terms.
The plug-in subsidiary of Royal Enfield has chosen the last months of next year 2026 as the exact moment in which the launch of the new FF.S6 will be made official.
