Throughout each season LEGO Technic He surprises us with one or more of his creations around the world of motorcycles. Once again the Danish company offers us the fruit of its collaboration with Ducati. This time in the form of the spectacular Desmo450 MX, an assembly set that includes a total of 457 pieces and that enjoys the level of finish and quality of materials typical of the Scandinavian firm.
Desmo450 MX by LEGO Technic: from the box to your display case
It will be from next August 1 when we can acquire this irresistible Desmo450 MX scale work by LEGO Technic. While that moment arrives we can summarize its main characteristics, among which are, for example, its final dimensions: 19 cm high, 31 cm long and 11 cm wide. As we see, it has strong measures that will make it shine wherever we decide to place it once we assemble it.

From LEGO Technic, they explain: “This set for boys and girls ages 10 and up combines iconic Ducati styling with an impressive level of detail to create a model that kids can explore. Ride the bike with the wide handlebars, check out the single-cylinder engine with chain drive from the rear axle, and test out the front and rear suspension.”

On an aesthetic level, the brand of this Desmo450 MX by LEGO Technic includes the original livery with which the model is currently marketed. As a detail, the number 222 has been included, the same one that Antonio Cairoli displays on his competition motorcycles. The latter actively participated in the development of the model, a historic fact considering that this is the brand’s first MX in its 100-year history.

Until now all LEGO Technic creations related to Ducati, obviously, had been related to their street models. Mainly around the legendary Panigale saga. So much so that through a joint initiative a life-size Ducati Panigale V4 R was manufactured, with the fairing built using LEGO Technic pieces, reproducing the Italian sports car in great detail.

In any case, as is usual in all the brand’s creations, the Desmo450 MX incorporates “Realistic movements and mechanisms that introduce young LEGO fans to the world of engineering in an accessible way”as explained in the launch announcement.
Having said all this, all that remains is to tell you that in order to get it (it can now be reserved), you only have to pay 49.99 euros. More information and details on the brand’s official website.
