After a fateful weekend of racing at Phillip Island, also knowing that, after almost thirty seasons, the legendary Australian track will no longer be part of the MotoGP calendar, Aprilia has decided to pay its particular tribute to this iconic place with the launch of a special edition of its supersport model: the new RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute.
Aprilia and its special relationship with Phillip Island
Aprilia Racing’s history of racing success is closely linked to Phillip Island. There those from Noale have achieved ten victories in the different categories of the MotoGP World Championship, without mentioning those achieved in the Superbike World Championship with the well-known and effective RSV4.
It is worth noting the victory in MotoGP achieved on that same circuit in 2025 by the pilot Raúl Fernández with the RS-GP allowed Aprilia to reach the historical milestone of 300 victories in the Motorcycle World Championship, thus becoming the most successful European manufacturer in the history of this competition.
Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute: Special and limited edition
The recently announced Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute is presented decorated under a striking livery designed exclusively for this model, in addition to including within its standard equipment a cover for the passenger seat. The side panels feature the circuit logo, formed by the track layout, just above the words “Phillip Island Circuit” and the checkered flag at the finish line.

The base color is white and, together with the green of the sides and rear section, and the red of the rims, it reproduces the color range that gives life to the circuit logo. For its part, the fuel tank sports a badge that shows the number of victories that Aprilia has achieved on this circuit, while the serial number is engraved on the steering head plate.
The technical part of the model
Although the new Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute comes decked out with a look unique and special, the technical section of the motorcycle does not receive any changes. Its advanced electronic scheme stands out, including a state-of-the-art APRC package with a 6-axis inertial platform. This has traction control, anti-wheelie control, engine braking control, cornering ABS and engine mapping managed by the Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle control.

The entire electronic catalog is fully adjustable to meet the needs of the rider on the track and make road trips safe and enjoyable. Electronic features are complemented by launch control, a two-way electronic gearbox and a cruise control system.
Custom engine and cycle part
The RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute equips the well-known 660 cc twin cylinder enginewith eight valves in the cylinder head, liquid cooling and electronic fuel injection. The brand declares 105 HP at 10,400 rpm and 70 Nm of torque at 8,400 rpm (although a version with power limited to 35 kW is also available).

The mechanics are combined with a top-level cycle part where Aprilia puts the rest: a frame made up of two side beams bolted to the steering head and at the rear is presented as the main part of it. For the suspensions, the Italians entrust the efficiency of the assembly to a Kayaba team, with an inverted fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear.
The braking system is entrusted to a kit signed by Brembo, with a double 320 mm floating disc with 4-piston Brembo radial calipers anchored to the front of the motorcycle and a third disc, clamped by a double-piston caliper, acting on the rear axle. The set integrates efficiently and harmoniously with the stylized 17” alloy wheels shod in this case with 120/70 and 180/55 tires, front and rear respectively.

Price and availability
Aprilia, at the moment, has not communicated either the official price or the number of copies available of this RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute. What we do know is that this special and limited edition will be exhibited in “EICMA – Milan, at the Aprilia stand – Hall 9, from November 5 to 8”as confirmed by the brand itself.
