Bajaj Dominar 400 Tera: everything you need to get where you want

It is not an advertising slogan (the top heading), rather the visual sensation offered by this special Tera edition of the well-known Dominar 400. If we are already faced with a frame in which versatility is one of its main calling cards, the sum of all of them, together with the specific equipment of this special series, rounds out the final product even more.

Although from a mechanical point of view we are looking at the same motorcycle, since there are no variations in its engine or main components of the chassis, the Dominar 400 Tera includes some subtle changes with which to increase its versatility. Starting with the standard side anchors to be able to mount a suitcase kit. A team, on the other hand, with which we gain capacity and autonomy once we hit the road.

On the other hand, we have the pair of mixed Tubeless tires, although maintaining the same size that operates in the standard version of the model: 110/70R17 and 150/60R17, front and rear respectively. These offer us the possibility of riding on dirt tracks that have a surface that is not too irregular.

Ultimately we find an exclusive color scheme for this version. Here we can see how both the choice of graphics and the tone that predominates in the silhouette of this Dominar 400 Tera are clearly inspired by the camouflage decorations displayed on military vehicles. The rest of the set is based on the aforementioned standard variant of the model.

Starting with its 373.3 cc single-cylinder engine, with four overhead valves, three-electrode spark plug system, electronic fuel injection and liquid cooling. The block is associated with a six-speed gearbox, assisted by a slipper clutch. The brand declares a power of 40 HP at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 35 Nm at just 6,000 rpm.

For the cycle part, Bajaj uses a strong steel perimeter chassis that in turn works together with a suspension team made up of an inverted fork at the front and a rear monoshock. For braking, the Dominar 400 Tera has one disc per axle: 320 mm in diameter at the front and 230 mm on the rear axle.

Finally, complete equipment could not be missing to complement the technical benefits of the model: two LCD digital screens, USB socket, LED lighting, hand covers, side defenses and support for the trunk come as standard.
