In 2024 BMW Motorrad reached a historic milestone by selling 210,408 motorcyclesachieving the best number of sales in its history. Heads and tails of what happens with KTMwhich stores several thousand motorcycles in its facilities, unsold, as we already told you not too long ago.
It is clear, the brand’s success is attributed to a highly attractive product portfolio, designed to meet the demands of all segments, in addition to the arrival of new and exciting models.
Among them stand out the impressive BMW M 1000 XR and S 1000 XRthe renewed mid-range models such as the BMW F 800 GS, F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventurethe elegant BMW R 12 and R 12 NineT of the Heritage line, and the trail BMW R 1300 GS and GS Adventure.

This is how good BMW Motorrad’s results are
With a total of 118,727 motorcycles sold, Europe is positioned as the leading region in sales for BMW Motorrad. Germany stands out as the most solid market, registering a notable increase of more than 8% compared to the previous year, with 26,177 units sold. They are followed by France with 20,693 units, Italy with 16,617 and Spain with 13,009. Furthermore, Central Europe contributed significantly with 11,411 vehicles sold, achieving an exceptional increase of more than 12% compared to 2023.
Outside Europe, key markets such as the United States, Brazil, China and India played a crucial role in this global success. The United States recorded 17,272 units sold, Brazil reached 15,267, China added 13,872 and India contributed 8,301 units.
Among the most notable models, the BMW R 1300 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure led the preferences, accompanied by the successful launch of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. In total, more than 68,000 motorcycles from the GS family found owners, confirming their place as icons of adventure tourism. Nothing new.
In the sports segment, the four-cylinder models shined thanks to their unmatched performance. The BMW S 1000 RR reaffirmed its leadership in the super sports car segment, with 11,610 units sold, while the three M models of BMW Motorradthe models “black paw” also recorded significant figures.
The renewed F series, which includes the BMW F 800 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, F 900 R and F 900 XRcontributed significantly to the record results, with a total of 40,890 units sold. On the other hand, off-road motorcycles of less than 500 cc, such as BMW G 310 GS, G 310 R and G 310 RRreached 22,339 units sold throughout the year.
In the urban mobility segment, scooters BMW C 400 GT, C 400 and the innovative electric models BMW CE 04 and CE 02 They had a relevant performance, exceeding 20,000 units sold in 2024.
