Not even half a year has passed since CFMoto surprised everyone and everyone with the official presentation of the prototype V4 SR-RR at EICMA 2025, until the brand unveiled its final version at its annual corporate event “CFMoto Day 2026” held at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. A fact that no longer surprises anyone; We are referring, of course, to the speed at which the R&D department of the Chinese firm works.
The result is motorcycles of the level of this registrable SBK and the figures speak for themselves: less than 200 kilos of weight in running order for more than 210 HP of maximum power. If it is finally confirmed, when the official specifications of the model are made official, we would be talking about a weight-power ratio greater than HP per kilo. In short, a full-fledged “RR” that makes it very difficult for its most direct rivals in the category.
CF Moto V4 SR-RR 2026: What we know
CFMoto Day 2026 gave a lot, so much so that, in addition to showing the new V4 SR-RR in public, the Chinese firm took advantage of the event to launch, among others, the CFMoto 500SR. A mid-displacement sports car that announces 78 HP of power for just over 3,600 euros to changeplacing itself at the head of the category in terms of price-performance ratio.
Something similar happens with the V4 SR-RR, a model that the brand itself places at the top of the SR family, also representing CFMoto’s vision of the future. Equip an engine for the occasion V4 at 90° and 997 cc which, according to some local media that had access to more detailed information about the model, also has a counter-rotating crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, a hollow titanium alloy valve filled with sodium, DLC coating and a semi-dry oil sump.
The brand declares a maximum speed of 300km/ha maximum engine speed of 15,000 rpm and a empty weight is less than 200kgwhile the power at the crankshaft exceeds 157 kW (more than 210 hp). With a 0.86 power-to-weight ratio (dry weight with racing exhaust kit), the V4 SR-RR reaches a benchmark level of less than 1 kg per HP, placing it among the best in its segment.
Chen Zhiyongvice president of CFMoto, stated that the power-to-weight ratio of the V4 SR-RR is 5% higher than that of international reference products. Furthermore, as detailed by the brand during the official presentation event, “The engine offers a broad, linear and progressive power curve that allows the driver to take full advantage of the V4’s potential. Each component has been designed to guarantee immediate throttle response and maximum control both on the road and on the track.”
All this without forgetting two essential aspects in a model of this type: electronics and aerodynamics. In this case it incorporates cutting-edge technology “for maximum control of power and safety” including semi-active electronic suspension. Its aesthetics are based on uncompromising sporty features where aerodynamics plays a key role in terms of dynamism and performance. Proof of this are its adaptive mobile ailerons capable of adjusting automatically during acceleration.
In this way they achieve a “optimal angle, reducing wind resistance by 12% and providing up to 45% downforce to the front wheels, thus improving high-speed stability. When cornering, the control system activates one side of the spoiler to optimize stability.”
They conclude by adding about its operation: “During an emergency braking, the ailerons deploy instantly to function as aerodynamic brakes, improving the vehicle’s braking capacity. This active aileron system even resembles the wing of an airplane.” Without a doubt, a true virguería of which we hope to know all the details, officially, very soon.
