VMoto, announces the imminent launch in Europe of its new Stash, an electric naked that can be homologated as a conventional 125 cc that is set to become a benchmark within the category in which it is included. To achieve this, it combines technology and savings, without leaving aside the sensation of riding a motorcycle of its style.
It is at EICMA 2021 when VMoto presented the first concept of the Stash, an event that would be attended by the brand's godfather, Jorge Lorenzo. A few weeks later we learned the first details of the model, in which the Asian firm announced up to 250 km of autonomy.
Already in 2022, the news broke that Giovanni Castiglioni was joining the board of directors of VMoto, after several years of absence and after selling MV Agusta. This movement was focused on placing VMoto as the premium brand of the Asian business group to be marketed in the old continent.
It is at the end of that same year when the final model is officially presented, although neither the final price nor the exact moment of the start of marketing was announced, something that finally seems imminent after the latest information released by colleagues from Ride Apart.
VMoto Stash 2024 in detail
In general terms, there are few changes that we can observe in this final version of the Stash. The central electric motor is maintained with a nominal power of 8 kW, which would be around 10.7 HPalthough the peak power can reach 15 kW (20.1 HP) with the “boost” function. In any case it is legal to drive it with the current A1 license.
In the chassis part it has an inverted front fork, disc brakes on both axles, supported by a dual-channel ABS system, or an adjustable rear monoshock. For its part, the 74 V/97 Ah battery offers us an autonomy range of up to 180 km.
The brand announces a maximum speed of 125 km/h and weight of 153 kg with a seat height of 810 mm. Another notable detail is, for example, the use of 17” wheels on both axles, shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires in sizes 110/70 at the front and 140/70, at the front and at the rear respectively.
In addition, it has a large space under the false tank, Full-LED lighting or a TFT instrument screen. All this for an initial price of 6,299 pounds, about 7,344 euros. And we talk about pounds because the brand has chosen the United Kingdom for the Stash make its commercial debut in Europe next April.
In the words of Clive Mann, CEO of VMoto Soco UK: “We couldn't be more excited about the Stash, this signals a new era for VMoto by bridging the gap between electric and ICE vehicles and providing not only high quality but also great value student legal vehicles. “2024 will be a huge boost for us as a brand in the UK and around the world, and this is just the beginning.”
