It is not the first time we are talking about any of the work carried out by the Australian coach See Two Engineering. Approximately three years ago, we had given you the project in which I was in then: the construction of two replicas of the iconic 900ss Ducati with which Mike Hailwood won the victory in the TT Island of Man of 1978.
In addition, Vee Two then planned to carry out 12 units as a limited series to sell them later at the rate of 125,000 euros each … if the budget does not give you for one of these crafts, now you can get another of the creations of Brook Henry and his team. We are talking about the Vee Two Squalo year 2000, which is currently being auctioned by the friends of Iconic Motorbikes.
See Two Squalo Year 2000 in detail
Brook Henry founded Vee Two Engineering in the late 1970s with the intention of building preparations and replicas based on Ducati models from its native Australia. Among these limited series, for example, the Alchemy, based on conical butt engines, and the Super Squalo, using 999s as the basis of the project, although the latter does not finally come to fruition.
However, at the end of the 90s, VEE Two offered the Squalo, built on a 900ss/sp. While the kit could be acquired to mount it, the oceanic coach lent us to make a motorcycle on request, including some improvements selected by the client itself. In any case, Vee Two Squalo was riding an over racing chassis of just 7.5 kg of weight, next to an aluminum tilting of only 4.5 kg.
Depending on the number of components that would be equipped, this striking preparation could end up declaring A weight Below 160 kilograms. As detailed by the current owner of this unit, associated with the VIN: 6J9M32000W2TA2019: “This Squalo of the year 2000 is equipped with magnesium wheels and armchair.
The same also explains that I buy the motorcycle a 20 years ago to European Cycle Sport and states: “It is assumed that it is the only existing squalo painted in dark blue, not black. For some reason, the painter did not paint her black. It is also said that she is one of the three that were manufactured in Australia and sent to the US. UU. And, of course, she is the only one in the country homologated to circulate.”
Even Brook Henry, founder of Vee Two, contacted Ionic with more specific information about this rarity. The same explains: “I made for a young American, I think that a computer geek in Silicon Valley. Very young and with a lot April).
Concludes: “I sent the Squalo to Texas, I think, after the event. It has an aluminum fuel tank, the only aluminum we manufactured (everyone else was fiber). I am quite sure that it has high performance parts in the engine and the motorcycle was a joint company between over over Racing in Japan and Vee Two. I think we only manufacture about 25.”
This exotic Vee Two Squalo only has 7,595 kilometers traveled and even more striking is the fact that its owner has only set up the last 160 km. As for its current status, it indicates: “The carburetors were cleaned in July 2025 before the sale. The tires were installed new in 2015, without kilometers from its installation. New oil and filter in 2015. The battery is new in July 2025. Hydraulic fluids were purged. All lights, controls and instruments work correctly.”
With a truly good appearance, at the time I type these lines the largest bid made to get the services of this iconic Vee Two Squalo is just under 5,900 euros. Figure, on the other hand, even insufficient to reach the minimum reserve price.
If there is someone willing to increase this figure, you can do it by clicking on this link.
