CYCLONE RX600 2025 test: Introduction, Positioning and Rivals of the CyClone RX60 2025
If you still do not have the newcomer brand in Spain Cyclone, a few days ago we told you here that it is the brand Premium of the Zonsen Group, leader of motorcycle manufacturing in China since last year 2024 also acquired the China Lancin.
Therefore, Cyclone has the capacity to start in our country with a range of 6 models between Scooter, Naked and Trail. To the latter belongs the CyClone RX600 A2 (47.5 hp, € 5,290), also available in version Full Power 59 hp for the same price. It is (for the moment, surely brief) of the most displacement model of the brand, which fights in the ring with also bicylindrical rivals of half -displacement, destined for card A2.
Here we can assess pure models A2, all bicylindrical, such as the Benelli Trk 502 x (48 hp, € 6,290), CF Moto 450 Mt (44.2 hp, 5,990), Honda NX500 (48 hp, € 7,425), Macbor Montana XR5 510 (47 hp, € 5,999), MITT 555 TT (47 hp € 6,695), QJ SRT 550 x (47.5 hp, € 5,999), Rieju Xplora 557 (47 hp, € 5,999), Voge 525dsx (47.6 hp, € 5,392), or limited models just like our protagonist, such as the QJ SRT 600 SX (47 CV, € 5,999) 625DSX (47.6 hp, € 6,592).
A2 monocylinder can also be included, such as the KTM 390 Adventure (43 hp, € 7,299) or the Royal Enfield Himalayan (40 hp, € 6,437), in the absence of the next BMW F450gs.
Competition does not lack, but as you can read it has arguments, beyond the price, to get a good portion of the cheese of the medium weight trail. For this, it is committed to the slope, with a good set -up of the cycle part and an outstanding autonomy. Being in a fight in which the power cannot exceed 48 hp, it stands out for fine operation and absence of vibrations.

If you have noticed the previous section, almost all its rivals are not limited, but exist as a single version that touches the 48 hp. The Cyclone RX600 A2, although Cubica 550 cm3, has a version Full Power.
Being that the limitation (reversible) is purely electronic and that once performed you can reach 59 hp, it is easy to gather that the Cyclone RX600 is dimensioned to all effects for the lamemed power. This is in all aspects, what is an advantage in almost every aspect (there is the weight), but especially for the rolling quality.
But let’s not go. The engine is a 550 cm3 DOHC bicylinder water cooled and 4 valves per cylinder fed by 43 mm injection bodies. The A2 version is at the limit of the 48 hp.
In this test thoroughly, I have not managed to exceed 4.3 l/100 km of average consumption. With 18 liters of fuel capacity, it exceeds 400 kilometers of effective autonomy, a guarantee on a motorcycle called to reach distant sites. We will have to calculate the consumption of the Full Power version when it falls into our hands.
As for electronics, it has no motor modes (nor is it possible), but traction control, which only acted in urbanization potholes, not in any other circumstance (which I did not need). It also has a double disconnectable channel ABS in both trains, although the truth is that, at least on the road, it is not intrusive. Welcome in any case, the disconnection for off road.
The color TFT screen allows three display modes. In all of them it is easy to see the fundamental information at a glance, but it is not intuitive to navigate the system and complete the configurations with only two buttons. Yes, connectivity is simple
After the three display modes, there is a screen with a BD code to download the application that provides the system Mirrorlinkthat is, it allows you to play your mobile screen on the TFT screen.
The chassis is tubular in steel, while the double arm swinging is in aluminum. Its dimensions are very well studied, because with a wheelbase of only 1,410 mm, it achieves a very good relationship between stability and agility.
The suspensions are not “branded”, but they are adjustable. The inverted fork is 43 mm in diameter and 130 mm of travel; It is adjustable in compression and extension. The rear monkey is adjustable in preload and extension. I did not need to make any suspensions throughout the test. Weight 84 kg and I seemed solid and good tarado, but I don’t want to get ahead of the block “How is the Cyclone RX600 A2”.
The braking is in charge of a double disc of 305 mm bitten by axial tweezers of two piston, while the rear disk has a single piston clamp. When I picked up the motorcycle, I had barely finished filming and I suspect that on the highway. The first kilometers, showed absence of touch and progressivity resulting from its lack of filming.
After a few hundred kilometers rolling them properly, their operation improved a lot. Without being spectacular, they are more than enough for motorcycle benefits and as I have commented before, the ABS is not intrusive in dry asphalt. The measures of the CST tires are 110/80-19 and 150/70-17 on tubess radios tires, with a design as peculiar as attractive.
The lighting is full LED and the adjustable screen, although with tools. I only missing hands, heated fists and cruise control, even as an option, but it must be taken into account that costs € 5,290.
Fortunately that is the reason, because the perceived quality of the set is high, not only for details such as adjustable handles, but for the quality of the materials and the cleaning of the design. With the suitcases and the trunk (optional, but with a launch super offer), the African stamp is spectacular. In addition, the suitcases are lined in neoprene inside and are very well finished.
They open with the same key (which is not the contact) and enjoy great capacity, although only one helmet fits. By the way, the trunk is supporting, but it is uncomfortable for the hypothetical passenger, because it invades its space and forces it to be very upright. If you go with a passenger, you will only take your bags.
The central easel is also standard; Although with suitcases and defenses (these do come standard) and in the order order the motorcycle weighs 230 kg, it is very easy to raise the motorcycle to the easel.

The first thought as soon as I plant the Cyclone RX600 was “Go, she is more than I expected.” The design of the RX600 enters the first eyes, especially in white. I like the combination with black suitcases and gold tires, with details such as acoded valves.
Continuing with the inspection, a classic: Is the crankcase covers? I give a toba with the heart finger. It is metallic. The handles, adjustable, the wiring collected thinking about their aesthetics, serial defenses. The touch of the controls (retroiluminated pineapples) also passes the static exam.
I start the motorcycle. In the idle has a bicylindrical pulse. Once I start, start marches. The touch of change is good, the clutch too. I immediately look at 70 km/h. The motorcycle is short development. It rises quickly and the bicylindrical pulse disappears, to turn into a soft buzz, because the engine barely vibrates.
As soon as I go to the highway, I find that at 120 km/h the engine rotates at 7,000 rpm. It does not cost him at all, he does not vibrate, but there is the noise of the admission that more than once encourages you to look for the 7th. The motorcycle is left to last – long – the 150 km/h, but it is not his vocation.
The short of development allows rolling at low speed in long marches. In fact, you can choose to circulate feeling the bicilindrical, or higher circular circular, but also softer. The driving position is good passes the kilometers. In the beginning, the seat may seem hard, but it is those of which you forget after a while. With some smears it passes the other way around.
The handlebar is at the perfect distance and height, perhaps a bit open the tips, very natural in any case. Stribes are also comfortable. The curious thing is that the ergonomic triangle also works. The handlebar is not low. It shows that the position is very studied.
I went out to some easy clues – the only ones that can be in the Community of Madrid – with the RX600 and, within my little level, I was comfortable with it. What is clear to me soon is that with this motorcycle you can get very far in very good condition.
On curved roads, neutral and easy, without complaints. It really seems lighter than it is. Once the brakes were shot -they were new -enjoy good touch and progressivity. Maybe not so much power, but it is not a sports. And that the fork does not sink at all in the braking. The general balance is very good.
On national roads, short development is a blessing and allows you to extract the best of the bicilindrical that, on the other hand, it does not notice limited, or better expressed, I do not know where the improvement in the version will come Full Power. I want to say that it does not show “Capada”. I am curious to try the lamemed version. The recoveries and accelerations are good and you do not need high cruise speed.
On highway and highway is able to roll at legal speeds without effort and with speed and acceleration reserve, but it would not be comfortable at sustained illegal speeds. This wants to say that the motorcycle has exceptional route capabilities, but at its pace. Personally, I think it is a virtue, because it suggests going to the most beautiful roads, which is where you will have a better time.
It is a simple, but effective motorcycle. In fact, among its failures is how sensitive the traction control in the potholes in the entrances to populations. When feeling that the wheel is not in contact with the ground (with which you pass a pothole at a certain speed), cut the excess ignition until everything returns to normal. An occasional passenger mentioned that the trunk forced him to be “in a position of visit.” If you look at the profile motorcycle, you can get an idea. I do not know if it is possible to delay it.
Finally, it was difficult for me to find out how to put the trip to 0. It is not intuitive, to the point that I do not remember how I did. As you fight, they are not serious (that of the passenger does, if you always go as a couple) by not interfering with the operation of the motorcycle, which is honest with what it offers: rolling quality (which results in ease of driving), accelerations and recoveries, rush ergonomics, exceptional autonomy, adjustable suspensions and for little more money, outstanding load capacity. For € 5,290, it’s a lot.
