For some time now we have been learning about Davinci, a Chinese company that is working on very peculiar electric motorcycles. Leaving aside the genius of the name, due to the unconscious link it makes with Leonardo on the one hand, and because it is an Italian name that separates it from China, there are many things we have seen about the brand that draw attention.
The first is that we are dealing with a brand that is constantly growing in its country, where it has opened new factories. But the second is that it is working on electric motorcycles, which, in addition to having a different and daring aesthetic, propose solutions that we have not seen until now.
For example, the Davinci DC100 with its 137 hp, 850 Nm of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in three seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h is an example of this. And it is not because of its power or torque, but because it has sensors installed that detect the position in relation to the ground and the degrees of inclination to maintain balance.
The Davinci DC100 cost 26,000 euros, the FM Factory Torque 1/1 101,000
This is precisely the bike we will be able to see at EICMA 2024, although under the name FM Factory Torque 1/1. Everything indicates that we will see a transformation when it comes to marketing a bike that will cost 101,000 euros, a figure that indicates that it is neither an economical bike nor a simple bike technically speaking.
In fact, the initial model we saw, the Davinci DC100, was priced at 26,000 euros, so we will have to wait for the EICMA to find out what other new features it may have to quadruple its price.
Even so, even though it comes under the name of Davinci DC100 or Torque 1/1, there are other mechanical elements that are highly important and quite innovative in the field of motorcycles. And that is that instead of having a conventional rear brake, the bike will use an energy recovery system during braking through its central motor. Thanks to this and the batteries it uses, its autonomy will remain at around 357 kilometers, although thanks to its batteries that allow fast charging, the battery could be fully recharged in half an hour.
As we say, we only have to wait until the EICMA in November to find out all the technical details and also in which European countries a motorcycle will be sold that will not be for everyone, neither economically nor for visual taste.
