Last Saturday, September 5, the celebration of Ride With Legends in El Búnker Moto Area (Madrid). An event designed for those owners of Triumph’s TF off-road range. During the day more than 50 owners, in front of more than 600 fans They were able to share the track and paddock with true clay legends.
Ricky Carmichael, Iván Cervantes, Guillem Navas, David Braceras, Carlos Prat and more Triumph riders from the grids of the Spanish enduro and motocross championships in various categories, became instructors for one day for all those registered for the event. A good opportunity to closely observe their way of riding, take the opportunity to learn from those who push these motorcycles to the limit and share great moments of camaraderie.
Ride With Legends: an unrepeatable track day
After an intense day on and off the track, the stars invited to this edition of Ride With Legends in our country agreed to recognize the love and passion that Spanish fans have for the world of two wheels in general and off-road in particular. Iván Cervantes’ balance could not be more positive:
“It has been quite an intense week for Ricky and me, but it has been a great experience to be able to share moments with so many amateur and professional riders who have chosen the Triumph motocross and enduro bikes to which we have dedicated so many hours of development before launch. I never tire of thanking all the owners for trusting us.”
After Ride With Legends passed through five countries, Cervantes especially highlighted the reception of the Spanish event: “Obviously, in Spain I have felt at home, but we must admit that it has been the destination where we have found the largest audience and Ricky has been amazed by the atmosphere, the closeness of the public and the level of some of the drivers on the track.”
He concluded: “I also want to take the opportunity to highlight the work of all those who have made this event possible and thank our Triumph Racing Pavo Rueda racing team and all the staff at El Búnker Moto Area and Triumph Spain”. For his part, Ricky Carmichael summarized his experience like this:
“It’s been a fantastic day! It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Spain and I’ve had a great time sharing the track with the Spanish drivers, putting on a bit of a show with people as incredible as Guillem Navas and serving so many fans who have queued patiently to get an autograph. A guy even came with a tattoo of mine on his leg!”
The anecdotes continued throughout the day among an audience of all ages willing to take home a signed souvenir: from children with drawings and t-shirts to fans who came with helmets from the early 2000s, and even fans with tattoos in honor of their idols. It was a day that many will never forget.
The world of competition seen from within
During the afternoon, several dozen tests of Triumph’s off-road range were added to the owners’ experience, allowing other fans to take the controls of the TF 250 and 450 4T enduro and motocross machines to discover on the ground a family of motorcycles developed with the experience accumulated at the highest level and with the involvement of the protagonists of the day.
The day expanded its scope even further with the opening of the paddock to the public, bringing together riders, motorcycles, dealers and fans in an atmosphere much closer to that of a large meeting between off-road enthusiasts than to that of a conventional competition event. Ride With Legends also had the presence of different personalities related to the sector.
Among them Laura DuranDirector of Communication of the RFME or Paloma LenceHead of Marketing and Communication at Triumph Spain. With Ride With Legends, Triumph managed to bring to the fan for a day a part of what normally only official riders experience: share the track, paddock and conversation with the best in each specialty and with those who know these motorcycles best.
