After imagining what the new model would be like, in the last dates it has been finally seen rolling what will be the new Ducati Desertx V2. And although there are no official data available, there is enough graphic information to know what awaits us. Aesthetically as soon as it varies and retains the two round LED headlights, but everything that is not seen with the naked eye is what evolves significantly.
And it is that the engine that mounted the current model seems to give way to the V Bicilinder, which dispenses with the characteristic demodromic distribution system, to give way to a conventional distribution, with DOHC system and docks to close the four valves of each cylinder which, a priori, should simplify maintenance and reduce costs without affecting the benefits.
The new Ducati Desertx V2 would be more powerful than the current model
The data that are considered tell us about the possibility of offering 115 hp compared to 110 of the current model, which would be a small increase in the benefits, which would come from the hand of a lower weight in the same, and would make the set lighter in general.
The work in the cycle part also points in that direction. Although the sports enduro approach with long -distance suspensions is maintained, 21 -inch and rear front tire of 18, both the frame and the aluminum rear trench have been redesigned to reduce weight and improve the dynamic response. The final figure is not yet official, but everything indicates that Desertx V2 will be below 200 kilos, compared to 210 of the previous version.
As we say, the data is not official, but it is clear that the motorcycle is already in its final phase of development and everything points to the fact that it will be presented during the EICMA of Milan to reach the brand’s dealers already in 2026. Logically, the price is not known, but the current model starts in the 16,490 euros, so it could well maintain or, in any case, to rise slightly.
What is clear is that with this evolution, Ducati reinforces the commitment of the Desertx V2 as a trail of adventurous spirit Raid, maintaining the design that is already a recent icon, but refining its technical qualities for the motorcycle to be lighter, more powerful and easier to maintain.
