Thirty years after his birth, the Ducati Monster 2026 remains synonymous with passion, design and performance. Since that first version presented at the 1992 Cologne Motor Show, the Borgo Panigale model has embodied the purest naked spirit: a motorcycle that is simple in its concept, but emotional and powerful in its driving.

In its 2026 edition, Ducati takes a step forward with a completely redesigned, lighter and technologically advanced Monster. Based on the new V2 twin-cylinder engine with variable timing IVTthis generation keeps the original DNA intact, but takes it to a new level of refinement, performance and ease of use, faithful to the brand’s historical motto: “everything you need, without additives”.

The heart of the new Monster is the 689 cc Ducati V2 enginewith variable distribution IVT (Intake Variable Timing)which allows linear and usable power delivery throughout the rev range. Yield 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and more than 80% of the maximum torque between 4,000 and 10,000 rpm, offering immediate response both on the road and in urban driving.

The new engine also stands out for its efficiency and reliability: with a record maintenance interval of 45,000 km for valve clearance checksets a new standard in the category. Furthermore, it is 5.9kg lighter than the previous Testastretta Evoluzione, contributing to a notable improvement in the weight/power ratio.

Its L-twin architecture, a constant in the history of the Monster, ensures a perfect balance between character, smoothness and traction, maintaining the unmistakable mechanical pulse that defines Ducati.

The Monster 2026 adopts a monocoque frame which uses the engine itself as a structural element, in the style of the Panigale V4. This set is combined with a aluminum double arm swingarm and a Mixed technopolymer and multi-tubular subframeachieving a reduction of 4 kg compared to the previous modelfor a total curb weight of 175 kg with empty tank.

Suspensions are carried out by Showawith 43mm inverted fork and rear monoshock regulated to balance comfort and sportiness. The braking is signed by Brembowith M4.32 radial collets and front discs 320mmoffering a powerful stopping capacity and progressive touch.

The Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires (120/70-17 and 180/55-17) complete a balanced set that guarantees grip, precision and safety both on the road and in the city. The seat now 5mm lower (815mm) and narrower, improves ergonomics and confidence when maneuvering, while the higher and forward handlebars favors a natural and controlled position.

Technological advancement is one of the great pillars of this new generation. The Ducati Monster 2026 incorporates a 6-axis IMU that manages all electronic assistance systems:

Furthermore, it has Four Riding Modes (Sport, Touring, Road and Urban), configurable from the new petal joystick controlswhich allow the character of the motorcycle to be adapted to each situation.

The instrument panel is a 5 inch TFT color screenwith display modes Road and Road Proand is prepared for the system Ducati Multimedia and navigation turn-by-turn. The entire package combines cutting-edge technology with an intuitive interface, maintaining Ducati’s focus on offering full control to the rider without distracting from the riding experience.

The new Monster is offered in two versions:

  • Monster standard.
  • Monster+which adds passenger seat cover and front deflector.

Both versions will also be available in version limited to 35 kWdesigned for drivers with a license A2.

Ducati also offers a wide range of Ducati Performance accessoriesamong which pieces in carbon fibercomponents in billet aluminum, Alcantara sports seats and Termignoni approved silencers with titanium coating and carbon covers, which reduce weight and enhance the sound character of the twin-cylinder.

The Ducati Monster 2026 will be available in two color schemes:

  • Iceberg Whitea more modern and elegant finish.

Both versions maintain the distinctive design elements that define the Monster identity: compact and muscular lines, LED headlight with double “C” light signature and tank with the iconic side air intakes.

The Ducati Monster 2026 will reach the European dealers in February 2026. The official price is 13,190 euros, and it can now be configured on its website. As usual, the brand will offer three year warranty and financing options Ducati Finance.
