Ducati presents the new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour 2027. An immediately recognizable model thanks to its specific decoration, and dedicated to fans of the brand who love long trips, to whom it offers a first-class configuration thanks to being equipped as standard with all the necessary accessories to travel long distances in “First Class”.
In the center of the assembly we find the engine V4 Grantourism which is also accompanied, on the one hand, by a reference cycle within the segment, as well as a state-of-the-art technological level responsible for instilling the driver with the necessary confidence and tranquility on the road, “leaving room for what really matters: living the trip as an adventure of freedom, exploration and discovery without limits”as stated by the brand itself.
Engine of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour 2027
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is powered by the well-known 90º Granturismo V4 engine from 1,158ccwith 4 valves per cylinder, counter-rotating crankshaft, twin pulse firing order, semi-dry sump and liquid cooling. This is directly associated with a 6-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift up/down 2.0.
The result of this mechanical compendium is a smooth power delivery at low speeds, strong torque in the mid-range and high power at the top of the rev counter. The brand declares a power of 170 HP (125 kW) at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 123.8 Nm at 9,000 rpm.
Thanks to the Extended Cylinder Deactivation strategy, the rear bank of cylinders is deactivated not only at idle with the motorcycle stopped, but also in certain driving conditions; This helps reduce fuel consumption (6.6 l/100 km) and emissions up to 6% compared to the previous generation, without compromising the character or performance of the engine.
Cycle part of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour 2027
This section is presided over by the trio formed by the aluminum monocoque frame, a steel tube subframe and double-arm aluminum swingarm. The whole is supported by a semi-active electronic suspension system Marzocchi Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evolution with fork position sensor, “Auto” suspension function, Automatic Lowering Device and Easy Lift.
At the front we have a 50 mm inverted telescopic fork, fully adjustable with 170 mm of travel. For the rear axle, Ducati entrusts these tasks to a fully adjustable monoshock with 180 mm of travel between stops. For braking, the Italian brand uses a double 330 mm diameter front disc with Brembo Stylema radial calipers and a 280 mm rear disc actuated by a two-piston Brembo floating caliper.
The set is assisted by a Bosch-Brembo ABS 10.3ME Cornering braking system. The equipment is perfectly integrated into two 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels shod with pneumatic tires. Pirelli Scorpion Trail II measuring 120/70-19” and 170/60-17”, front and rear respectively. Finally, regarding the main dimensions of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, Ducati approves a curb weight of 240 kilos and a wheelbase of 1,566mm. The pilot’s seat is located at 840mm from the ground.
Equipment and technology of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour 2027
The 2027 Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is immediately recognizable thanks to its specific decoration, rich in details such as the black finish of the handlebars, risers and seatposts, as well as the “Grand Tour” inscription on the rims. It incorporates as standard a radar system with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW), functions that increase driving safety and comfort on long-distance trips.
Also part of the standard safety equipment are the TPMS (which displays the tire pressure on the instrumentation), LED auxiliary headlights, dynamic turn signals and a rear fog light; elements that improve visibility and make it easier for the motorcycle to be seen at night or in foggy and bad weather conditions.
The technopolymer side cases, standard on the 2027 Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, are integrated into the decoration of the motorcycle. With a combined capacity of 60 litersallow you to carry everything you need even on the longest trips. The central stand, also standard, makes operations with the suitcases easier and safer, both for assembling and disassembling them and for opening and closing them.
The comfort of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is enhanced by heated grips and heated seats for both the driver and passenger, included as standard. In addition, the Hands-Free fuel cap simplifies refueling, allowing you to keep the motorcycle key in your pocket at all times. The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour incorporates the Automatic Lowering Device, which facilitates the handling of the motorcycle during low-speed maneuvers and stops.
The system automatically lowers the motorcycle up to 30 mm when the speed drops below 10 km/h and recovers the riding height when exceeding 50 km/h. For its part, the Easy Lift function reduces the effort necessary to lift the motorcycle from the side stand by opening the suspension hydraulics when the ignition is turned on. The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour benefits from the latest electronic advances developed by Ducati.
The Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) estimates the forces acting on the vehicle by simulating the signals from numerous virtual sensors, thus improving the effectiveness of the electronic controls and perfecting the ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control strategies. The advanced Electronic Combined Braking System manages the distribution of braking between the front and rear axle to ensure optimal performance depending on driving conditions and load.
The rider can also customize the level of Engine Brake Control by selecting from three different levels of intervention. During an emergency braking, the Ducati Brake Light EVO also automatically activates the turn signals, increasing the visibility of the motorcycle to vehicles traveling behind.
In the 2027 Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, the inertial platform continuously communicates with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO system. Thanks to a new fork position sensor and predictive logic such as pothole detection, the system adjusts the suspension response in real time based on road conditions, improving both comfort and driving precision.
The Auto-levelling function automatically detects the motorcycle’s load and maintains a constant height in different use configurations. The rider can also adjust the response of the suspensions while riding using a specific control located on the left handlebar.
Like all motorcycles in the Multistrada V4 family, the Grand Tour is equipped with a smartphone mirroring navigation system, which transforms the 6.5-inch TFT screen into a navigator with color maps that also displays essential driving data.
Likewise, the smartphone mirroring functions, implemented through the Ducati Connect system, allow you to control the phone and music functions in a simple and intuitive way. Finally, thanks to the Ducati Factory Made program, the Multistrada V4 Grand Tour can be configured with a level of detail comparable to that of a tailored suit, eliminating the need for later modifications.
