Exclusive images of the Interceptor Bear 650, Royal Enfield’s new scrambler model

It has taken three and a half years for us to finally meet Royal Enfield’s new scrambler 650, the new Bear Interceptor. Since those first conjectures in May 2021, we have been learning new details throughout this time that were shaping the long-awaited model of the Indo-British brand. Although the concept was clear, the same was not true of the commercial name that the newly approved Royal frame would sport.

To show a button, with the following articles in which we have been discussing the topic in recent months:

Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 2025: “There is no bad fifth”

In this way, the Bear 650 Interceptor 2025recently approved by the brand at the Australian registration office, becomes the fifth Royal Enfield model to use the brand’s well-known “six and a half” platform. Gone are the rumors about a possible Bullet, Sherpa or Scram (although these could arrive in the form of a different variant next year).

In any case, the new Interceptor Bear 650 does not just come to showcase a concept as currently fashionable as the scrambler. In the first images of the model that we have, published by Motorrad Online, we can see how it uses an inverted front fork or a rear suspension with more travel than its current range sisters.

The exhaust system now opts for a 2-in-1 configuration, while the radial tire equipment is not very clear if it opts for 18” on both axles or 19 inches at the front and 17” at the rear, as is usually the case on this type of models. Beyond these details, still to be confirmed, other technical aspects are clarified, such as the use of the tubular steel chassis already seen in the rest of the brand’s models.

The shape of the instrument panel is also striking, similar to the analog-digital panel with Tripper navigation system, which the Shotgun 650 uses. In any case, it is not certain that it will finally use this configuration, and you can opt for the Tripper Dash infotainment screen 4-inch, with navigation, music, weather forecast and route recording, among other functions, which the Guerrilla 450 recently debuted.

Other details present are full LED lighting, a large rear grab handle for the passenger and a striking color scheme. We see how the Interceptor Bear 650 perfectly combines various shades such as yellow, blue or white, with darkened parts of its mechanics and cycle part. Now we just have to know when it will be officially presented and of course what the final price to pay for it will be.

Regarding the first, it is almost certain that the Interceptor Bear 650 will be presented to society in just a few weeks, coinciding with the celebration of EICMA 2024. On the economic aspect, and taking into account the price of a standard Interceptor 650, the new “bear cub” could be around a price around 7,500 euros? All this and much more, we will know very soon.
