First details of the new Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX SE

Kawasaki continues with its renewal plan, for next year, in some of its current ranges. The recently confirmed Ninja 1100 SX SE follows in the footsteps of the brand’s adventure model with the also announced 2025 Versys 1100. Like the latter, the Japanese firm has opted for the Australian registration office for the homologation of its renewed sport touring bike.

This is confirmed by the German media Motorrad Online, which in addition to leaking the first images of the model, also offers us the registration documents presented by Kawasaki.

These models also confirm the possibility of a semi-active suspension system, under the SE trim level. All this with a maximum power that will most likely far exceed the 150 hp barrier.

Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX SE: What we can expect from it

As we already mentioned in the news about the Versys 1100, in this Ninja 1100 SX SEthe modifications are expected to be almost exclusively limited to the mechanical section. The current model declares a final power of 142 hp at 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm of maximum torque at 8,000 rpm. With an increase in displacement from the current 1,043 cc to approximately 1,099 cc, we can speak of an extra power of around 10 hp.

Even applying a basic rule of three we could calculate that The final declared figure will be around 157 hp. These changes in terms of performance are due to the increase in the internal dimensions of the Japanese four-cylinder engine by 1.7 millimetres, while keeping the stroke unchanged. The result would be a declared figure of 78.7 mm x 56 mm.

Based on the images we have, there are no signs of any aesthetic changes, beyond the renewed colour schemes that the brand has chosen to implement for the new season. However, taking into account the registered commercial name, Ninja 1100 SX SE, it is likely that it will use a semi-active suspension system as is already the case with the current Versys 1000 in its SE variant.

We are talking about one 43mm Showa inverted fork with rebound and compression damping controlled by KECS. This extra has never been implemented in the model and with it could also come the use of a 190/55 ZR17 rear tire, although the homologation sheet continues to reflect the measurement used until now, with a 50 profile. In the same way it could adopt the front braking commanded by Brembo 4-piston radial calipersexclusive to the SE variants.

Kawasaki Ninja SX range confirms capacity increase for 2025

It is still too early to know what the final picture of the Ninja 1100 SX SE will offer us. It is more than likely that we will be able to find out all the details of the new Kawasaki model during the course of the celebration of EICMA 2024. Also if it were to reach any other model under the commercial name 1100 or any other different from the one currently offered by the range of models from the Akashi firm.
