Ford Focus ST Edition 2024: last chance to get the manual?

Many of us remember the Focus RS with nostalgia and knowing that it will not return. However, the oval brand does not completely dispense with sportiness in its range and is committed to extending the life of its currently most high-performance compact. In fact, launch the 2024 Ford Focus ST Edition to the delight of many followers. It could be the last opportunity to get the compact sports car in manual formatsince transmissions of this type tend to disappear in recent times.

It is a way to spice up the current Focus ST with a preparation that makes it more suitable for intensive use. You will be able to step on the circuit with guarantees thanks to a system of adjustable coilover suspension in two directions signed by KW Automotive and configured by Ford Performance. It stands out for allowing the driver to adjust the driving dynamics to his liking. Reduces height 10 mm compared to the series model and the user has another additional 20 mm for adjustment. In addition, it offers 50% greater rigidity.

With this suspension you gain up to 12 rebound settings plus 16 recovery settings; so that the behavior is the most precise in each situation. The brand includes a guide with specific settings for some circuits (including the Nürburgring Nordschleife) and equips other elements. The 19 inch wheels are forged to reduce unsprung masses and are also shod with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. The front brakes are made by Brembo and ensure powerful and consistent braking.

The Ford Focus ST Edition maintains the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost mechanics unchanged. Has 280 HP and 420 Nm of torque, although in this case it can only be linked to the six-speed manual gearbox. It could be one of the last opportunities to get hold of it and allows you to have an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

He also mounts the most popular packages which are optional on the ST. That includes the Driver Assistance package with a good number of driving aids, the Winter package and other details such as the B&O premium sound system. It can only be configured with the Azura Blue body color and black details. The price in Spain rises up to 51,042 eurosa notable difference compared to the 43,567 euros of the conventional ST.
