Honda equips the 2025 Rebel with the revolutionary e-Clutch

Honda has just announced the official launch in Japan of its renewed Rebel 250, including the new E-Clutch technology for this new generation of the model. A fact that leaves the small custom of the golden wing firm without direct rivals within the category. Until now, no model with similar characteristics had had an option of this level, something that once again highlights the dedication and work that Honda does in each and every one of its motorcycles.

As far as we are concerned, it is necessary to ask if Honda will apply this same equipment policy in the Rebel 500 that it currently sells in our country. As we already know, its older sister, the CMX1100 in SE version, announced for 2025, is equipped with the DCT dual-clutch transmission, with which it offers us a “higher level” driving experience thanks to ultra-fast and precise gear changes.

Honda Rebel 250 2025: Now with the E-Clutch system in two of its versions

Marketing of the new Rebel 250 will begin on next January 30while the variants equipped as standard with the new Honda E-Clutch shifting system will arrive at the brand’s dealerships on March 13 of this same year. Regarding this revolutionary technology, it is worth mentioning that we are talking about an electromechanically controlled clutch that assists a manual transmission.

It does this by managing the entire movement process of the motorcycle, whether when starting, while in motion or when reducing speed. Of course, this technology does not make the motorcycle automatic. What is automatic is the clutch. In fact, to change gears you always have to use the gear lever.

There is no doubt that the inclusion of the E-Clutch in the Rebel 250 range will become a revolution within the category where the model operates. Beyond this exclusive novelty, the small Japanese custom includes some improvements in equipment and finishes, among which we can highlight the redesign of the handlebars and therefore the general ergonomics once we put ourselves at the controls.

Likewise, the Japanese firm has updated its color palette with the arrival of new versions of the model. In this way we have up to three variants of the Rebel 250 and in turn these will be marketed under the following color schemes:
