Honda Motor Europe Ltd. has once again confirmed its leading position not only in the field of motorcycle innovation and technology, thanks to the presentation of the V3R 900 E-Compressor prototype and Honda’s first electric motorcycle, the WN7, but also in environmental sustainability and responsible management of its activities.
Honda leader in the transition towards more sustainable mobility
At the 82nd edition of EICMA, Honda received the award EICMA 2025 Sustainable Exhibitor Award for the sustainable management of exhibition stands. The award comes in the context of an event that has once again obtained the international ISO 20121 certification from TÜV NORD Italia, which attests to the sustainable management of the event and its commitment to reducing environmental, economic and social impacts.
Honda Motor Europe Ltd. was recognized for the methodological and scientific approach adopted in the design and construction of its stand, developed through a life cycle analysis (LCA) that allowed the environmental impact of the project to be measured and significantly reduced.
Always attentive to sustainability, Honda wanted its space at EICMA 2025 to be a tangible example of its commitment to a future with low environmental impact. Thanks to the collaboration with EFGROUP, a stand was created that combines design, functionality and environmental responsibility, in full accordance with the brand’s historical values.
The Honda stand, the largest of the entire event, with more than 3,000 square meters of exhibition space, was built with a support structure composed of modular profiles made of recycled aluminum (77.5%), combined with multi-layer poplar MDF panels (CARB P2) for the decorative elements.
The fabrics used for visual communication are made with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified technical polyester, designed for multiple uses, while the modular platform is made up of durable, reusable and easily removable panels. All materials were selected to ensure durability, lightness, ease of transport and assembly, thus minimizing the overall environmental impact.
Thanks to this approach, the ACV study showed exceptional results: the environmental footprint per event is 31.72 CO₂ eq, a reduction of 97.2% compared to an equivalent stand made with traditional materials (such as chipboard, PVC or adhesives). The initial emissions, equivalent to 1131.3 CO₂ eq, are offset over time thanks to the reuse of components, guaranteeing a total saving of approximately 1100 tons of CO₂ eq per event.
In addition to the drastic reduction in emissions, the project optimizes logistics, reduces waste and improves operational efficiency throughout the entire stand use cycle. During EICMA 2025, Honda presented not only important new products and world firsts, but also a stand that represents a real and replicable sustainability model, combining innovation, efficiency and respect for the environment.
