The Honda ADV160 has put on the Spider-Man suit. The Malaysian subsidiary of the Japanese brand has presented a striking special edition of its adventure scooter, decorated with the colors, logos and graphic motifs of the popular Marvel character.
Officially called Honda ADV160 Spider-Man Edition, this version will arrive at authorized Honda Impian
The announced price is 14,149 Malaysian ringgit, approximately 3,030 euros at the current exchange rate, compared to 13,249 ringgit —about 2,837 euros— for the conventional ADV160. That is, the special decoration and the exclusive package associated with this version represent an increase of 900 ringgit, around 193 euros, compared to the standard model.
A decoration recognizable at first glance
The transformation focuses mainly on the aesthetic section. The bodywork receives a combination of red, blue, black and white directly inspired by Spider-Man’s suit, accompanied by the spider emblem and different graphic stripes that run along the front, sides and rear area.
It’s not just about putting a sticker on a stock ADV160. The color distribution takes advantage of the angular shapes of the scooter and its crossover aesthetics to give it an even more aggressive image. Red dominates much of the fairing, while blue details and white lines visually recreate some of the superhero’s most recognizable elements.
Each unit is also delivered with a specific package consisting of a presentation box, a thermos with LED lighting, a special fuel cap, an exclusive emblem and a numbered certificate of ownership. The warranty is two years or 20,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
Honda has treated this ADV160 as a true limited edition and not just as a chromatic variation added to the catalogue.
The mechanics of the ADV160 do not change

No mechanical modifications appear under the Spider-Man decoration. It retains the practical philosophy of the ADV160: a light and manageable scooter, designed for everyday use, but with a high position, mixed-look tires and an aesthetic inspired by the trail universe. The scooter maintains the well-known 156.9 cubic centimeter eSP+ single-cylinder engine, liquid cooling, PGM-FI electronic injection power and CVT automatic belt transmission.
This engine declares 15.82 HP at 8,500 revolutions per minute and a maximum torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 revolutions. The braking system includes hydraulic discs on both axles, while the suspension combines a conventional telescopic fork with two preload-adjustable rear shock absorbers.
The equipment also remains intact. The ADV160 has a five-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync connectivity, traction control, ABS, adjustable windshield, automatic idle stop system and a space under the seat with 30 liters of capacity.
A formula closely linked to Asia and Latin America

This type of versions has an especially strong connection with Asian markets. There, low and medium displacement scooters are not only practical vehicles: they also constitute a fundamental part of urban culture and everyday transportation. Brands can afford to develop bold decorations, collaborations with popular characters and numbered series aimed at a young audience.
The ADV itself was initially born in the Asian markets, where it appeared in 2019 with a 150 cubic centimeter engine before evolving into the current generation of 160. Its design draws directly from the concept inaugurated by the X-ADV, transferring that adventurous image to a more accessible product.
The situation has many parallels with Latin America, where small displacement motorcycles also have enormous commercial weight. The ADV160 is part, for example, of Honda’s offer in Brazil, where it is equipped with a 156 cc single-cylinder engine, traction control, ABS and CVT transmission.
In these markets, a decoration linked to Spider-Man is neither strange nor excessively risky. It can attract users looking for a functional means of transportation, but also those who want a motorcycle with a more personal visual identity. In Europe, on the other hand, the ranges are usually dominated by more sober finishes, monochromatic combinations and accessory packages.
And a Honda ADV350 Spider-Man for Spain?

Obviously, Honda has not announced a Spider-Man version of the ADV350 nor are there any official indications that it is preparing something similar for Europe. But if you dream, the idea would make a lot of sense.
The ADV350 is the closest representative of the concept in the Spanish market. It uses a 330 cubic centimeter single-cylinder engine, develops 29 HP at 7,500 rpm and delivers 31.5 Nm of torque at 5,250 revolutions. It also has a five-inch TFT screen, RoadSync connectivity, traction control and a cycle section prepared to combine urban trips with getaways outside the city.
Its muscular body, raised front end, and angular side panels would make a perfect base for a Spider-Man-inspired livery. Visually, it could even be more spectacular than the Malaysian ADV160, especially if Honda opted for a full paint job instead of limiting itself to a set of stickers.
Years ago it was relatively common to find motorcycles and scooters with decorations associated with drivers, competitions, movies, comics or sponsors. Some were simple commercial operations, but others have ended up being versions highly sought after by collectors. Those special editions brought color to the dealerships, and allowed a well-known model to acquire a completely different personality.
The ADV160 Spider-Man Edition proves that formula can still work. It does not offer more power, better suspension or decisive additional equipment. Nor does it intend to do so. Its appeal lies precisely in turning a practical scooter into something different, recognizable and emotional.
This little Honda will probably never officially arrive in Spain with such a decoration. However, it would not be bad if Honda Europe recovered the spirit of those special series and dared with an ADV350 inspired by one of its characters, drivers or historical models. Because motorcycles also catch the eye. And once in a while, a little imagination can be much more exciting than adding another gray color to the configurator.
