Indian Motorcycle, in full celebration of its 125th anniversary, recently announced its change of headquarters. A decision that has caught the brand’s followers off guard, although it makes all the sense in the world in light of the latest corporate changes within it. We must remember that just a few weeks ago Carolwood LP officially closed its agreement with Polaris for the acquisition of the brand.
Under the leadership of its new CEO, Mike Kennedy, the brand begins a new business era at all levels. As he stated after his appointment was made public: “It is a great honor to take the reins of Indian Motorcycle as it celebrates its 125th anniversary, driven by gratitude and opportunity, and the support and ambition of a resourceful and highly motivated team of owners.”
Indian Motorcycle debuts new facilities
Local media that have echoed the first information about this change of headquarters by Indian Motorcycle, also published the new address where we can find the brand’s headquarters: 6325 Sandburg Road, Suite 800 Golden Valley, Minnesota. The brand would have signed a lease contract for facilities of about 3,500 m² approximately for the next seven years.
After hearing the news, Mike Kennedy atoned: “As we begin this new phase, we are proud to remain in Minnesota, a state that has been essential in our journey, and continue building a future focused on innovation, growth and delivering exceptional products to motorcyclists around the world.”
For his part, Andrew Shanfeld, partner at Carolwood LP, said: “The establishment of Indian Motorcycle’s global headquarters in Minnesota reflects both the strength of the organization and its long-term strategic direction. This investment positions the company for continued growth, while reinforcing its deep connection to the region and its talented workforce.”
Likewise, as detailed by Power Sport Business, Indian Motorcycle was represented by Willow Peak in the search for its headquarters and the strategic selection of the site. The building is owned by Link Logistics, a Blackstone portfolio company, and Cushman & Wakefield represented the owner, along with real estate agents Brent Masica and Jason Meyer.
Construction will be led by Matt Anderson of Anderson Construction, while architectural design will be handled by David Serrano, founder of Drift Prairie. In parallel with this novelty, Indian Motorcycle officially presented three exclusive hand-painted models and a collection of “historical” clothing on the occasion of the events celebrating its 125th anniversary.
Likewise, the Indian Riders Fest 2026 announced the fifth edition of the Budweis Indian Motorcycle Custom Show (BCS) that will take place from June 18 to 21, 2026 at Lake Lipno, Czech Republic.
