For José María Riañogeneral secretary of ANESDOR: “The results of last December were extraordinary, to the point of significantly increasing the results of the entire year. On the one hand, DANA has motivated exceptional registrations, but above all, the jump to the Euro emissions stage starting this January has forced many self-registrations.”
“These very positive effects on the December data will weigh down the figures for the first months of 2025. From this same month of January, only motorcycles and light vehicles of the Euro 5+ stage can be registered. This new Euro stage for category L approval, different and not equivalent to Euro 5 for passenger cars, is not included in the regulation of environmental labels, necessary for access to Low Emission Zones. That is why it is very urgent for the DGT to update the regulation and classify these vehicles appropriately, considering that their environmental impact is even lower than that of passenger cars with the ECO label.”
ANESDOR has called a press conference on Next day January 15 in which José Luis Correia, president of ANESDOR, and José María Riaño, general secretary of ANESDOR, will explain in detail these data and the market forecasts for this year 2025, in addition to analyzing the different current topics in the motorcycle sector.
