It was about three years that it was the last time we knew about Nick Sanders, the multifaceted British actor and adventurer specialized in touring the world at the controls of a motorcycle. Then he was able to resume his plans to turn the world alone piloting his Yamaha Ténéré 700, an initiative that he had to postpone after the last 2020 pandemic.
Now the idea is to tour the European confines in a Royal Enfield Bear 650, after his recent collaboration agreement with the inbritanic firm. As MCN has told MCN’s colleagues, it has been since the end of last March fulfilling this new challenge that will always lead in the opposite direction to the clock needles, and on roads that border the coast of our continent.
Nick Sanders, an expert in these needs
More than three decades have passed since Nick Sanders launched the world with a Bullet 500. Now the plan is different, although equally intense and exciting. The idea is to reach Nordkapp, Norway, within the Arctic Circle, and subsequently bordering Ukraine.
Sanders has commented: “I feel that I have returned to the beginning. The reason I chose Enfield from the beginning was because the motorcycle had a lot of personality, it was relatively easy to understand and had that air of the 50s. But now, after returning, I am completely hallucinated with the transformation of the brand.”
Concludes: “It’s crazy, and they sell around one million motorcycles a year worldwide. They have factories everywhere and the development is first.” The planning of this trip includes documenting the places for which the tour will take. Also share your experiences when it camps or arrive on time to the Touragech Travel Event in Germany, from May 30 to June 1, to share a while with your followers.
If nothing twists, Sanders is expected to conclude this new adventure coinciding with the celebration of the Adventure Bike Rider Festival, which will be held from June 27 to 29 at Warwickshire. Nick comments: “I decided to return to Royal Enfield and that was very important to me. I looked and did not want a Japanese brand, I wanted something very different. Some adventure motorcycles that cost between 25,000 and 30,000 pounds are almost cars now; they are huge.”
Concludes: “This is to return to the essential and the foundations of motorcycling, and that is what attracts me.” To be able to follow Nick Sanders’ day to day, on this long journey through our continent, you can visit his official Instagram page or access his YouTube channel where he has already hung some video related to this challenge.
